Today is the day I get a new car
What I'm getting will make feel like a star
My old car was hard to maintain
So I'm trading it in, because it was a pain
By this evening the cold weather will be good and plenty
And by tonight, I'll be rolling in my new Mini.

Ugh, is it really only 2:30 on Wednesday?
Still 2 1/2 days to go
Even for a "short" week,
this is going way too slow.

It's sleeting, raining, and cold here
All a southener needs to run in fear
Get it together guys; it's not that bad
Sliding on bridges; road rage and mad
Can you believe schools are closing for this
and it clears by 6; isn't that some isht?
We don't like stuff like that around this way
People are rushing home where they'll finish the day
And get this: tomorrow the high will be back to 54
weather in the south; never know what's in store
The good thing is it's never severe
So end the road rage and face it with good cheer

It feels like i havent been here forever
the last time i posted, i think i was under the weather
but here i am better than ever
looking online for a new set of letters
the sweatshirt i own, its about 2 years old
my first official set of SGRho in blue and gold
its a little worn
im surprised its not torn
i bought a necklace and a pin
which is nice, but the chain, its kinda thin
its a heart with SGRetched in the side
it was cute, i wanted it, so i oblige
but now im at home and honestly it feels and looks cheap
do i try to return it or is it something i should keep?

cheap jewelry sucks; it's nothing nice
return or keep depends on the price
did you spend a little or fork over a lot
if it's the former, send it back you should not
cuz then you lose shipping and wait 7-10 days
money in limbo that could've been used many ways
oh, there's one other factor that deserves debate
if you won't wear it, then a return is worth the wait
why keep it around to sit and collect dust?
if it's cheap like you think, why wait for the rust?
on to other news, my boyfriend is a pain
long distance a few months makes my patience wane
it's only temporary, but still makes an impact
he always wants to talk; this is a fact
what's the problem you ask
it feels like a task
we talk several times a day
trying to think of something to say
the first time it's easy, we have that bond of course
by call #4, my patience requires force
it gets on my nerves; I need some space
can I keep up if we continue this pace?
don't get me wrong, things we have are good
but now he's clingy since he left the neighborhood
I think he's afraid someone will step in one day
and talk me out of moving his way
He was all good until the guys at his job
started to convince him I'd run off with Bob
or Joe or George or whoever steps in
and claims me as their prize to win
so now do those guys, fam, and friends know me better than you?
Don't listen to them or you'll look the fool
Trust me, relax, and step back a bit
and tell those fools they don't know...

The week from hell, already
Think I need a day off at home-a
I do believe I've got the oncoming symptoms
of DaemonSeid's "anal glaucoma"!

Rhyming thread,
If it weren't for me,
You'd continue to sit alone
Sad and ignored on page 3.
So here's a Valentine's Day bump
Sprinkled with Cupid's arrows and bows
If no one else comes along to chime in
I'll come to your rescue again, I s'pose.

nitty wait--you know I have your back
can't let the thread go out like that
do you have big plans for this v-day
as I've said before, my guy's far away
well, not that far but still not here
he was for the weekend with all his gear
so today I'll celebrate v-day with other AKAs
and my roomie since she's out of her "no AKA" phase

Yippee-ki-yay
for IlovemyAKA!
Thanks for not letting the thread go down
So sorry your Valentine is out of town!
Have a great time instead with your sisters
It's good sometimes to be reminded we can live without our misters.
As for big plans for me and the hub
Prolly just some good wine and tasty grub.

This day is my favorite of all
Its the day when I can hit the mall.
I got to work a bit late
Waking up and getting out of bed
Was a bit more effort than I wanted to make
got an event to work this weekend
and I am looking forward to it
get to hang with some good people
and spend some time with the boyfriend

Let's see it we can bump on up to page 5
I like that number; 5s keep it live!
Had community service today
"Jump Rope for Heart"; it's fun to play
You learn to be heart healthy and have fun too
maybe it's something your chapter could do
but when you're not a kid, you feel it alright
we had the double dutch demo; time to soak tonight
well, it wasn't that bad, but I am a little tense
leave it to the kids if you have any sense
just kidding again; kids had fun and learned new steps
and us? oh yea, we were happy to help!
*nudge* to nitty; you take it from here
you take the frontline, I'll slide to the rear

Thanks for the lead-in
IlovemyAKA!
Jump roping with the kids?
Sounds like a great day!
Good for you, way to go
spending your day on a cause
I'm doing that next week,
today, laundry gave me pause
Now I'm kicking back
watching my TLC
taking a break from folding
and playing on GC!

Mr. skylark's work had a party tonight
Three margaritas: head feels a tad light
So glad that there's an end to the writers strike
SNL tonight with Tina Fey, who I like
Not too sure what to do with that site GF
Psycho-threatening PMs make me WTF
All over a post that I thought might do good
Just wanted some people to act as they should
I continued to post there but wondering why
Seems friendlier here, even when snark flies

Head hurts, back hurts
So much work to do
How'm I supposed to be productive
When I feel like doggie-poo?

Outside, snowing it is
In it, I want to go play
Instead, I am in here, doing my biz (work at work)
At home I'd rather be
But, yet here I must stay.
oh snap
its after 6
let me give my computer a tap
and be up and out of the mix!!! lol
