She was on a Disney Channel movie called "Tiger Cruise" a few years back. The movie was about families out on a Navy Tiger Cruise when 9/11 happened. I thought it was a great movie.

And let's not forget REMEMBER THE TITANS. She was Sheryl Yoast. I loved her in that role!

I do. I watch reruns of Family Matters and Boy Meets World in addition to Lincoln Heights.

Ditto minus the GG reruns.

Tom, why are you all of a sudden complaining about OTW's sig? It's been the same for a while.

From an interview with one of the characters: http://starrymag.com/content.asp?ID=...erviews&PAGE=1

<< Q. How about your character Rusty?
A. I play Rusty Cartwright and I'm a freshman at the university studying Polymer Science. The character is in development for me which is [took out the words a great parallel to just joining challenge] great because we [took out the word have] get to really discover each other together. [One of] the other leads is Spencer Grammer who plays my sister Casey. She's a junior and one of the co-leader[s] of a big sorority at the university. So, a lot of the problems come from me needing help from her [to adjust to college life} [took out the words and she's there to provide it and]. [Also] just how I adjust to wanting to become a fraternity member [took out the word and] because [Rusty’s] really not the type of person who would go out for those things. There are a lot of embarrassing moments[!] [For example one scene] where I am getting shaved. [There are also] a lot of precious and great moments when I overcome some tribulations which you maybe won't think I will.

Q. Were you able to draw some parallels to the character in your real life?
A. I do draw some parallels to the character in my personal life. [However,] I went to a year of school [took out the words but it was] [at] an art college in Columbia and the only things I saw about [took out the word this] Greek life were on TV. Even then, I just kind of didn't know if that was very true or not. Every time I read a script [for Greek]I am really interested in seeing what happens because I really don't know. I can't make any estimations myself because I haven't gone through anything personally [Greek system and at a college like the one on the show.] >>

My favorite parts are where he talks about his character getting shaved and how he's going ot learn all about this Greek Life through a tv show...

Plus, what's up with all the editing??

If anyone is interested, IMDB has a message board. Not sure if anyone (ABC Family) really looks at it, but there are a few messages up there already.

No, it would not nice to see a show like that about our the NIC, NPC, or NPHC. I feel that we (people of color) have enough problems with television programs as it is. Thanks to BET, MTV, and VH1 we have our hands full already with ignorant programming. Example, "College Hill", is SUPPOSED to give a full picture of what life is like on Historically Black College/ Universities campus and it is the worst thing I have ever seen about HBCU's, EVER! Furthermore, I viewed the clip and I feel that the show will have low ratings and be a thing of the past by kick off of the NFL season in the fall, lol...I think you need to get a Blockbuster card and rent Bamboozled by Spike Lee to give you a sense of what I mean.

He said that the councils should all condemn the show, not make their own...

honestly though, the stereotype of greek life has already been laid down by movies like animal house, revenge of the nerds, and old school, this show is not going to be anything different from these movies so the image of greek life wont change, unfortunately. People in this world have their minds set on something and it will take more than a tv show to change the minds of people and honestly this show wont affect the view on greek life anymore. I think we should enjoy it and not worry about how it makes us look. If we can still recruit quality brothers and sisters before the show, even with the "animal house" mentality going around with incoming freshman, than we will still be able to find quality brothers and sisters afterwards, its just we need to do our jobs and go out there and find those brothers and sisters, I for one will be watching the show

Which is interesting because you know if any PNM mentions about the show and asks about the things that happen on the show, you can almost 99.5% 9or maybe 100%)cut them off your list. Though the PNM has to be dumb enough to even mention about it...

no i just make sure then when i look for new members, i explain to them what a fraternity is about and i make sure i ask them what they are looking for in joining a fraternity, if they say they want to party along with other things then i wont cut them rght away, but if they say all they do is want to party then yes they will be cut, but the thing is you get people like this before this show comes out, this isnt going to all of a sudden start happening now and i really dont think this show is going to increase these kind of people

"Hey!! you're in Kappa Sigma, right? The one with the 'K' and the 'E'???"
Uh.. no, actually, its a K and a Sigma, which is S.
"oh, well, you know what i Mean, it looks like an E"
Not really. Epsilon looks like an E. For an example, go look at the Tau Kappa Epsilon House. That is an E.
"whatever. It still looks like an E."
okay, we're done.

from my personal experience, the parties are what get the kids interested. Its pretty simple. Most of them don't have any intention of being involved in philanthropy...or other things like that. they want to hang out and party. Which is fine and good. Its our job as good men (and women) to find those people who have hearts in the right place who haven't really thought about volunteering at a soup kitchen or raising money for a charity... to get out there and get involved, and to make good men better. Just like the Masons who won't allow a bad person to join them, they only take good upstanding people, and use their teachings to make them better... thats what we need to be doing.

Those people who come into my house looking soley to party, and get laid every night by a different girl... I'll give them a chance...its called pledgeship. But if they cant get it together and show me that they are men after my heart...then then can hit the road. thats for damn sure.

Funniest thing I've read all day. That reminds me of story a friend of mine told me about a freshmen girl who got lost on campus near Delta Upsilon, who while on her cell phone said that she was "in front of the Triangle Pineapple Tree house."
