Somewhere on GC, we discussed how most of us have a song to the tune of "Today".

"Remember" was one of my favorite songs. My only wish is that I wasn't such a poor singer. The harmonies were fantastic. I think back and wonder how many people must have heard me sing. Carman Diaz (My Best Friend's Wedding)...you've met your match.

oh goodness alphafrog, we have a version of linger-although my chapter did not sing it. i wonder if one person wrote the marjority of the common fraternal songs, telling each group,"oh yes xyz's ,this is a song i wrote especially with your sorority in mind. no, no other sorority will have this song."
wink, wink.
carnation, we have a "today" song. ztazetahunny, the harmonies are stunning!! we when would sing the zeta prayer before dinner, our guests would always comment that we sounded like a choir of angels, because of the harmony. the wood floors and high celings helped with the choral effect.

Ours is very similar:
Remember, your ADPi girl
Remember, when you're away
Remember, she's all you wished for
And close to you, she'll always stay.
Remember, that small black diamond
And pearls of friendship true
For memories will keep forever
It's ADPi for you.
It's often used as a Sweetheart or Candlelight Song, too.

I only went to round one with ZTA last year, but their song stuck in my head and I can still sing it. It's very catchy!!
ADPi sang "In the Jungle, the mighty jungle the LION sleeps tonight" took me a minute lol cute though!!

In 2004, our slide slow had "Seasons of Love" as the music. We had 4 rounds of house tours and I cried everytime I watched it.

We did a Cabaret skit...Life is a Cabaret when you are a ZTA.
I wrote a skit with my daughters namesake during final exams based on "Alice in Wonderland" We used the theme song from Mahogony... It goes something like "Do you know...Where you're going to... Do you like what things in life are showing you....Where are you going to ...Do you care? Will you get ...what you're hoping for ..." It sort of mimics the confusion the girls have during rush. Tweedle Dee and tweedle dumm are the look-a-like sorrorities.
