Woman Told to Ditch Bra to Enter Court

COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho — Security guards refused to allow a woman into a federal courthouse until she removed a bra that triggered a metal detector.

Lori Plato said she and her husband, Owen Plato, were stunned when U.S. Marshals Service employees asked her to remove her bra after the underwire supports set off the alarm.

Are you telling me no one had access to the big wand-looking thing you see in movies and TV shows? Come on!

Is that guy good enough for the electric chair? I think taking him apart, skin cell by skin cell, would be more appropriate.

18 7th Graders Attack Teacher in Cleveland, OH

Don't make no type of sense.

Video

Article
ETA: The article makes the incident less severe than CNN made it out to be. Still wrong though.

If you need a hug, you won't get it at Percy Julian Middle School. Principal Victoria Sharts banned hugging among the suburban Chicago school's 860 students anywhere inside the building. She said students were forming "hug lines" that made them late for classes and crowded the hallways.

"Hugging is really more appropriate for airports or for family reunions than passing and seeing each other every few minutes in the halls," Sharts said.

Another reason to institute the no-hugging policy was that some hugs could be too long and too close, she said.

"There is another side to the issue when a hug is either unwanted or becomes inappropriate as judged by one of the students involved," Sharts wrote in a statement to parents. "On occasion, we do deal with those incidents. The goal is always to promote safe and orderly hallways where everybody can get by, be safe, and be on time."

Why am I just now seeing this? My high school banned hugging ("prolonged embracing" according to the student handbook) years ago. At first, it was just hugging between opposite sexes. Then, a handful of girls got mad because they couldn't hug their boyfriends, but the lesbian students could hug their girlfriends. After that, there was a blanket ban on hugging for everyone, but students got pissed because there were a couple of instances where two students would be hugging and faculty would break them apart before realizing one was crying or otherwise upset and the other was comforting that person. So students started protesting that it's not fair that they can't be allowed to comfort a friend because they'll be mistaken for homosexuals in a "prolonged embrace." I don't remember what the final rule ended up being when I graduated--it was amended so many times I lost track.

http://www.news4jax.com/news/15220956/detail.html

A St. Augustine woman pulled over when a deputy saw her run a red light had a case of beer belted in her front seat, but a young child unrestrained in the back, according to the arrest report.

Did anyone hear about this?

http://www.myfoxphilly.com/myfox/pag...Y&pageId=3.2.1

I heard about this on the radio and they played a sound bite from one of the victim's relatives, in which she said that the girl had to have 64 stitches to sew her nose back on her face, another 20 stitches under her nose, 30+ stitches for a gash in her face and the back of her head had to be stapled together. It was also reported that the mother of one of the students who participated in the attack actually drove the group of girls to the school to attack the victim.

  1. She can be charged with child endangerment for the NEIGHBOR'S kids? I mean, wtf was wrong with the neighbor that s/he didn't go pick up the kids? S/he should get charged, too.
  2. It angers me that someone who lives in a ROACH INFESTED place was able to go to Africa. Not a cheap trip. I don't care if the 'beau' paid for it or not. We talkin' passport, airfare, and immunizations, which are expensive in themselves. But you can't get an exterminator so you don't live in filth?
  3. Where is the quote from her sister that was supposed to watch the kids? I wanna hear from her and not just the lawyer.
  4. Her kids couldn't remember their birthdates due to malnutrition or lack of education/upbringing?
  5. How long was she gone?

I could go on and on. I get so ANGRY at this cuz there are people who WANT kids and can't have them but this chick gets SIX????? Friggin' unbelievable. Triflin' heffa.

I'm not sure if I'm coveting right now or not. *sigh* I need to pray.
