Big Brother/Pledge Father: I don't talk to all that often, we saw each other at a wedding a couple of years ago and hung out, but that's about it. He's a great guy, but he lives a few hours away and transferred after my freshman year.

Pledge sons/little brothers: We email/facebook/myspace message every once in a while; again, both are great guys, we just don't happen to hang out all that much these days.

I have to say I ended up being really lucky with both my pledge father and pledge sons; all are good guys and fun people.

my fam

My big and I are still close even though she's far away. I'm excited to be her bridesmaid next summer. My first lil sis and I are close. My second lil sis, not so much; she left the chapter...long story. Never knew my great grand big sis but my great grand lil sis is sweet.

I had lost touch with my big but we have recently re-connected via myspace. We are going out for dinner and drinks soon!

Little #1: we talk thru myspace on occasion. I'm glad we are getting the chance to reconnect! I missed her! We lost touch after she transfered schools.
Little #2: we met up for dinner and drinks over a year ago and it was the weirdest experience ever. We haven't spoken since.
Little #3: she withdrew from school and no one heard from her again.
Adopted little: (long story on how she got adopted) We talk all the time and hang out everytime she is in town or everytime I'm in her neck of the woods. I'm actually the closest to her out of all of my littles.

I don't really talk to any grand-bigs or grand-littles.....

i keep in contact with my big and grand-big. my big and i are in the same alumnae chapter so we see each other at events, PLUS, we meet once per month for dinner. we don't talk too much on the phone (she has two little ones), but we are very close.

my grand-big and i used to be super close (like talk to each other every day), but we stopped talking about 2 years ago. about 6 months ago, we reconnected and now chat here and there.

my little...haven't talked to her since i graduated.

Big sis/Little sis

I graduated from college 23 years ago and while I lost track of my big sis and one of my little sisters years ago I am still in touch with my first little sis. She was through here a couple of months ago while she was taking her 17 year old daughter on a trip to visit colleges.

I was finally able to track down my big sis' from college. (She had moved several times.) I had the most wonderful phone conversation with her and we're planning to meet again this summer. It was amazing how it seemed like no time had passed between us.

my family is quite large...last time we sat down and figured it out we had over 14 active members in it...this is just because I had to go have an two bigs, both of whom have a rather large family..so I just connected the two branches!

my #1 is alumnae status, but she is still going to school, she has one more semester left so she graduates in december..im going to be devestated! haha, her and I are inseperable..

my #2 and i aren't so close anymore...we've been having some problems...

my #1s big (my g-big) and i are also really close, we talk everyday online while hse is at work (she's also alumnae, i'm the youngest one in their branch..)

the branch on my #1s side is really close...the branch on my #2s side..not so much...

but i love all of my family! does anyoe else have two bigs? its been a fairly common thing between my pledge class (fall 06) and this past one (spring 07)...

My sorority family tree branch includes myself, my Grandbig, my Big, my Twin, Triplet, and Quad (yes my Big has FOUR Littles) and my Little.

Grandbig: She was Recruitment Director when I joined the sorority, so she was pretty much the sister I wanted to be when I was a new member. She graduated when I did and I keep in touch with her pretty regularly. She is teaching in the Kent area, so I'll be able to see more of her once I start grad school this fall.

Big: My big is actually still an active (I am a year ahead of her in school). She is a journalism major and Panhellenic VP of Recruitment so she stays really busy. We talk online a few times a week and since she lives in the house, I see her everytime I come to visit.

Twin: She is someone that I really enjoy talking to, but don't get to see often because she's so busy. She went 5th yr alumna status this semester because she'll be student teaching. We chat via Facebook/MySpace, and I see her at alumna events.

Triplet: I lived in the house with her in my last semester. She is a really sweet girl but we don't talk much because we are both busy with work and she has school.

Quad: I preffed her in my last recruitment & I absolutely love her. She is in the same pledge class as my Little so I get to see them together alot. She is really busy with journalism & being a student senator but we try to make time to talk.

Little:She's one of my best friends. We talk on the phone every single day, sometimes twice a day. I will most likely be in her wedding. She just turned 21 so we go out alot, since she doesn't live far from me.

Smile I'm still in contact with my diamond sister!!!!!!

Yes.......... Me and My Big (AKA Diamond Sister) are very close although I don't get to see her as often as I would like b/c she is so busy teaching....I do stay in contact with her and keep her up to date as to what is going on with me. She trys to do the same.

I also know that somewhere out there I have a grad-big but I've never really gotten a chance to know her b/c she graduated before I was a member.

My big and I stay in touch, although it is hard because we live on opposite sides of the country. Usually a couple phone calls a year plus birthday/holiday cards. She is someone I admire and look up to. She was such a great mentor, especially during the year after college when I wasn't quite sure what I was going to do with my life (continue the path to law school? teaching certificate? politics? retail purgatory?)

My little and I are not in touch. We never really had the best time getting along in college (we were paired fairly randomly and I never had a chance to decline privately before the pairing was announced), so keeping in touch after college wasn't a priority for either of us. It's kind of a shame, since everyone hopes for the picture perfect big/little relationship, but still it is for the best. We each thankfully had members that were better bigs or littles in spirit, even though not formally, and I think both of us found those other relationships fulfilling.

I didnt have a "Big" sister, since I was a colony member. I had an alumna sponsor, Sandy, who I still talk to about once a month or so.

My Twin, Valerie and I are still close. She was one of my bridesmaids.

I have 3 littles. One of those is an AI (Debbie), the other two are still collegiates (both named Carrie). I have 6 grandlittles, and a great grandlittle. Only 2 of those grandlittles were around while I was in school, the others were new members Fall 07. I've met them all, as I still see the chapter regularly. But I'm that "old alumna" to the newer girls

I had two SAI bigs...but was only really close with one of them.

Cece (Big #1): We were really close. Hung out every week. Then she transferred and I haven't talked to her since.

Gretchen (Big #2): We weren't that close. She wanted me as her little way more than I wanted her as my big (hence, why I got 2). She tried, but the connection just wasn't there.

My grandbig is pretty awesome. She was very influential in the chapter. My great-grandbig comes around every once and while. She's crazy.

I took my first little last semester. She is amazing and one of my best friends in the chapter. We're both on the prowl for littles this semester.

My Phi Sig Big was great. We spend a lot of time together and she was there for me when I got out of a really bad relationship. We're both still active, so we see each other pretty often.

My Phi Sig little went to the same high school as me for a little while. She's a sweet girl and I love her, but we're not really close. I'm hoping she'll soon take a little.
