Well the bottom line is that you can believe what you want to believe and continue to justify sin. But just know that with sin comes curses...

I've tried to avoid reading this thread because y'all know I can lose my religion when I get offended. I'm only 5 years old in the Lord, my heathen slips out from time to time. But it kept getting bumped, so I gave it a gander. After reading the very first post, not only was I not offended, I was actually touched. Not many people have the nerve to be that bold with their opinions. Furthermore, I just had this same discussion at a church conference a couple of weeks ago. I was sick of faking like the hot Christian and decided to work towards actually being one, which is why I decided to quit smoking at the aformentioned conference (not in the Bible directly, but still not a good habit for my temple). So I was onboard, I agreed with 99% of the stuff said. Well, maybe 98.5%. Somewhere in there. I was really about to co-sign till the rest of the thread came through. And after 4 pages of this I only have 2 things to attest to:

1) I kinda fell off the wagon after reading the subsequent posts by the thread starter. I was with her in the beginning but bits of contradiction and unhealthy spirits started to slip into the messages. Plus, it's never wise to jump on a message you're not 100% with, so I'm sorry Thelma, but this is one Louise who is gettin' out the car.

2) I want to thank everybody here for giving me a good laugh. Now it wasn't nice to be clownin' this girl left and right, SHE DID NOT DESERVE A LOT OF THE DISRESPECT SHE GOT. But (excuse me Lord) I have been cracking up for a good 10 minutes and I needed that. Shoot, my dog just died, I needed that laugh now more than I have all summer. Plus, I'm listening to the Trapped in the Closet 1-12, so I only read what I could between falling on the floor over the midget in the cabinet, so forgive me if I missed the finer details of the thread.

Christiangirl, I applaud you for becoming a Christian!! The Lord accepts ALL that turn their lives over to him. I will pray that you can stay off the "heathen path" and continue to discover your way with the Lord.

With that said, I must tell you that you should take everything that you hear from people attempting to minister to you with a grain of salt. The reason that unknown2u is being "clowned" (as you say) is because this thread has been brought up before AND people have previously stated their opinions to her. True, everyone is welcome to their opinion and welcome to participate in discussion, but there are limitations. From what I see, there are several DOUBLE STANDARDS.

Ask yourself: Why hasn't unknown2u taken this show on the road to condemn the NPC/IFC/NIC groups about being Greek? Why are NPHC groups being targeted for being Greek and hazing? Why hasn't the message of premarital sex, divorce and all other ungodly things been spread across the masses? If you are TRULY attempting to minister, do you only minister to some people? Are their souls "more saved" than ours? Things that make you go hmmm......

Don't fall victim to people who attempt to force their beliefs on you. Life is a learning experience.

As a new Christian you must especially wary of those who cloak their personal vendettas in the Word. THAT is ungodly.

I appreciate the warnings, but I am in no danger of being misled, I assure you. All she did was speak her piece and that's fine with me. Sometimes, you just feel the need to repeat things (as backward as they may be). But honestly, I don't think she deserved such a big reaction out of everybody. Firstly, a lot of it seemed to be out of trying to humiliate her rather than humble her (just an observation). Second, because she is ONE person with MANY opinions. If her opinions turned to accusations with no grounds, then you knew better than to believe her, so what's the big deal? No one has enough power to get so many people worked up unless they're given it. Who ever she's talking about are some messed up people, but I know that not all Greeks are like that and not all Christians are like that. This thread doesn't change my opinion of either. All this thread did was lighten up the stressful week I've had.

I just have a few questions and I'm being for real...

1.) Were you upset with me because of...

a. the message that divorce and other sins are contrary to the will of God? (Although I have scriptures to prove it) And that taking part of sin is a way of worshipping the devil.( get out of your minds that you have to bow down to the devil or wear gothic clothing to be considered glorifying his kingdom.)

Let me make this clear that I never doomed anyone to hell. You see because God WILL forgive anyone of their sins if they repent. So I cannot tell people you are going to hell. I'm just saying that taking part of these things is sin and that you should repent of those sins. Once you are saved you are covered by His blood, so heaven is your home. But don't create problems and pain on your life or the life of your children by starting generational curses. Now if you don't believe that divorce, premarital sex, drunkeness and the list can go on, are sins then we shouldnt be arguing because clearly we are standing on two different platforms.

b.) RD are you upset because others have discussed this message before?? (because Noah, Moses, Jesus and others have preached the same message without ceasing and continued to preach as long as others were still living in sin.)

RedefinedDiva- You claim that you are tired of all these posts being about the same things. But yet you read and comment on all of them. My mom used to say if you don't like the heat stay outta the kitchen. If you don't agree and are tired of these message then don't read the threads and call it a day. But i think that something in your spirit is continuing to draw you these threads, and even though you lash out on what I say, you know there is a lot of truth to these words. Don't worry God is still working on you and He still loves you girl

c. Someone made the good point about not going to other NIP/IFC/NPC boards and preaching this message. Well the truth is I don't know about the other processes or what they do or their rituals so I can't speak to them. Is being apart of a fraternity or sorority sin...NO!! I know members who are apart of honors fraternities and service sororities. Its not being a member thats wrong, its ENGAGING IN ACTIVITIES IN ORDER TO GAIN THIS MEMBERSHIP is what I consider wrong. And I have a problem with the organizations that base membership of making people do unethical things. I know this to be true, so somebody please dont be a liar and say that they have never done anything unethical to become apart of their group. Unless you were paper...

Also dont think that my messages starts and ends here. Everything I have said I have said on other message boards and to other people. People know where i stand and what i believe.

My concern is why did everyone get hostile? Are you upset with the message or the messanger? All that I said came from the Bible. I can understand if unsaved members get upset because their hearts are not tuned to hear. But some of yall who claim to be saved challenged me on what the Bible said?!?!?! If you are upset with what I said take it up with God because He wrote it in His book.

I also read another thread where my name came up as a joke, someone claiming i diguised myself as an AKA to sell products on EBAY

I must first state that I am not upset. You can't upset me with these same messages. I am just confused as to why it continues to be rehashed.... I read and respond to threads for the same reason that you do: they entertain and interest me. As you can see, from your time of being GC, we have fun around here. It's like "What's new today?" Your posts, here and abroad, are like watching a train wreck....especially when you appear to desire the very thing that you smite. (Marinate on that) Besides, as a future attorney, I know that all facts aren't what they appear to be on their face....

Secondly, thank you for reminding me that God loves me! But I already know. He tells me and shows me everyday.

As I was the person who asked the question, I wonder WHY, when you were doing all this research on greeks and processes, you didn't research all greeks. It would be extremely foolish of me to think that you were that sheltered to NOT know that some of the above mentioned orgs. haze its PLEDGES, as in persons who are ENGAGING IN ACTIVITIES IN ORDER TO GAIN MEMBERSHIP. Please.... Don't play games. Their acts of hazing are more on the news than the ones you are comdemning in BGLOs.

Do search on her username, read some of her other posts and you will see why she got "clowned".
