Star Jones leaves The View
Just read on MSN that Star Jones is leaving The View, well I actually also heard it on The View this morning.
I have to say thank goodness.
I don't like Star Jones at all. She has an ego the size of the galaxy. The fact that she was mooching on The View in hopes of getting her wedding paid for by the vendors was over the line for me. (The fact that the vendors were stupid enough to do it was a whole other issue).
I think she's a total bitch with a capital B.
Obviously, my personal opinions. People are more than welcome to disagree with me.
I'm glad that Rosie O'Donnell is taking over for Meredith and I'm glad Star is now gone. Hopefully they will fine a good replacement for Star.

Yet another example of a fat chick thinking she's all that and being put in her place...thank god!
ETA: I know shes "skinny" now but she looks horrible with her weight loss but then again maybe its the extreme face lift that put her eyes on the side of her head. She looks like sh*t now and did before.

I personally think she looked so much prettier when she was heavier. Her face just doesn't seem proportioned with her body. Does that make sense?

I would have loved to see a Star/Rosie catfight though.

I personally can't stand Star Jones. I think she's whack, and I can't see how anyone can believe anything she says:
First, she goes on and on about how she can't find a man. Typical bitter black woman yada yada yada.
Then, she finds this gay man (not that there's anything wrong with that!) and makes a huge deal about this wedding. Seriously, a gay man is not better than being single.
THEN! She goes on to get gastric bypass and denies any surgery. Ummm, where did all the skin go? She had to have something done, even if she did lose the weight "naturally."
I just can't stand her. She is crazy, like Whoren crazy.

There was a small article in today's "Daily Break" section, in the Entertainment section. It made it sound like her announcement yesterday (which I missed) was to say what everyone already knew....She was not coming back!
I was not prepared for the new opening with no Star picture, let alone no Star. (YES! I don't have to look at that alien face anymore. I have to agree 150% with everyone that she looked a lot better pre-weight loss and plastic surgery.) Then, to hear what Barbara had to say....I was just floored.
If you watched regularly, you could tell that there was some irritation (by Joy) when Star name-dropped, talked only about herself, etc. While it would have been nice to see Rosie and Star together, oil & vinegar anyone?
So here are a couple of thoughts I have had.... - Was Star upset that she didn't get the send-off like Meredith?
- Is this the end of "The View"?

This is just incorrect. Prior to her getting married she always took the 'marrige isn't for everyone/some people are happy and satisfied w/their lives w/o being married' stance. She never did the complaining 'there are no good black men left' thing.
I don't see what folks are talking about as far as saying that she has an attitude/ego. To begin with this show has had incredible success from the begining with Star. People may not like her new weight loss or how she handled her wedding, but her personality has been a part of what has made the show a hit. Also, part of the appeal of the show is that they all have different personalities that often disagree. This is life, and perhaps is quite similar to our dynamic here on the board. We have those who are informed and act as mediators, those w/strong opinions, those who just talk but don't really add anything, old people, and then folks like Elizabeth who don't even know the day of the week. I mean that is the premise of the show. Everybody shouldn't be the same. Whether or not you identify with anyone of the characters or not doesn't mean that they deserve the shady exit that they gave her.
On a side note: Rosie sucks azz. Elizabeth is a ditz. Joy doesn't really know what she's talking about. Barbara is never there. What appeal is left now? W/o Meredith and Star it's gonna be the blind leading the blind.
