I remember working at a hair salon and pregnant women wouldn't color their hair after a certain point, not just during the 1st trimester. Actually I think they said you're not supposed to do it at all but maybe that was just with bleach. Anyways, it's harmful to an unborn baby somehow but I can't remember.

It's not exactly the dye, but the fumes given off by the process. Ammonia is harmful to breathe in, and is present in most dyes. I'm sure that other gases released in the process can be harmful also.

However, in the second and third trimesters the fetus is stronger and, as such, studies have shown that it is within acceptable limits to dye (not bleach) a pregnant lady's hair then.

Yep bleach it was. They couldn't get their hair hilited after a certain time because of the bleach. I think there's something to do with the chemicals of the colors and getting into your system.

I kinda like Brit with dark hair. Gives her a less bimbo-y look

She looks like her mom with the dark hair. I certainly think she looks more sophisticated and grown-up with darker hair. I like it SO much better than her very light blonde days, but perhaps not as much as her dark blonde days.

Finally got this issue a few days ago. Not too impressed. I mean, I understand all magazines photoshop, but she doesn't have a single stretch mark showing, lol, she's preggers with her second kid. She has moles in some pictures but they're photoshopped away in others and her skin is just perfect. Her arms are also photoshopped to be a lot thinner than they are.
The article isn't all that great.

I hate to do this to everyone at lunch time, but I had to share:

Nice bra. And that Frappuccino not only has way too much caffeine for a pregnant woman, but enough saturated fat for a week.

MSN's commentary:
Quote:
Mother, Jugs and Feed: We know what you're thinking. You think we're gonna eviscerate Britney Spears for venturing out of her Malibu mansion sporting togs so tragic they positively scream, "I'm procreatin' with Kevin Federline, y'all!" But we know that's what Brit-Brit wants us to do. Come on, did she really think we'd fall for the old, "If I squeeze into Sean Preston's Garanimal short-pants and a stained, strained shirt I bought long before I started birthing babies, they'll tear me apart and I'll get the public sympathy that I totally should have had when I turned on the waterworks for Matt Lauer" ploy? Yeah, right. We're well aware no good can come from picking on the Starbucks-craving pop starlet while she's so heavy with the spawn of K. Fed. Instead, we'll foil Britney's masterful PR play by accentuating the positive, pointing out that her brunette 'do seems less disheveled than usual, her ubiquitous white wedge sandals are almost dirt-free, and her Frappuccino looks really yummy.

@ that photo

I am surprised none of you posted how Britney revealed that baby #2 was not planned.

Thanks Jess - I was feeling ugly today, but compared to that I'm Miss Freaking America.

To me, that just doesn't seem like a big deal...they are married...lots of married people have unplanned pregnancies. If no one knew they were dating and she showed up pregnant...that's a story. But to me #2 is not a story.

True not a big deal but I imagine one day baby #2 might read that and cry.

My mom waited till I was an adult to tell me that I wasn't planned. I felt like shit for a week.

I always assumed that I was an accident because when I was little my mom told me that it was really hard to get condoms in Russia. A couple of months ago I found out that I was planned. True story.

I've known as long as I can remember that I was a surprise. My parents never made a secret of it, and given that my siblings are 10 and 6 years older than me, it's not that hard to figure out anyway.

Never bothered me in the least. I knew they were glad I was here, planned or not, and that was all that mattered.

I can relate. Except for the fact of knowing that I was a big pain in the ass. I was a month late, I had the cord wrapped around my neck, and I should have died. Lol now try thinking about all that when you're feeling like giving up on life!
