Seriously, just stop. I'm sorry that sororities don't have the scandal you are looking for. I had a wonderful experience in my sorority, have nothing to complain about, and think greek life is wonderful. And I didn't have to show my boobs or get my fat circled.

Actually, since Ms. Robbins didn't experience any ceremonies or rituals, I'm interested to know what evidence she has that proves that ceremonies and rituals "celebrate specific relationship milestones." And, what evidence does she cite to support her theory, other than mixers and formals and fraternity parties (you know, non-Greek girls go to fraternity parties and frequently have mixers with their clubs or residence hall groups).

Unless Ms. Robbins actually witnessed that with her own eyes, it's still urban legend. I spent four years in my sorority believing that we were not allowed to have sorority houses because of the "brothel law." It's just further evidence of how urban legends are passed on.

I would be comfortable saying it’s com mon. They call them class files or scholar ship files—they like to hold up scholarship as a pinnacle, you know, of their achieve ment but a lot of that is sometimes based on these notes and former tests and papers that they have in a file cabinet in a room in the house.

Its not that big of a deal, don't get too mad. However, personal experience is factual when the person dresses up like a sorority girl and interacts with them on a day to day basis. And, logically, why would she care to lie about any of this and write a book on it. Also, why would a television show depict exactly the kind of behavior I am implying goes on? You can deny the book, but not even satan himself can deny something we all watched on T.V. The women even siad she would not her own daughter joining one. I admit to be in need of some more schooling, but for gods sake why can't a girl just state something that she knows is true in her heart. This stuff goes on in fraternities (might need spell check), and people don't seem have to have a problem admiting to what goes on. Eveyone knows it. Lastly why would 26 sororities block out media, after the airing of the show. That is something to hide. Anyway, I now relize admitting to facts that half of the nation saw on t.v. is beyond my espectation

This guy is just creepy. I get the feeling that he gets off on these sorority urban legends, which don't hold any more water than do those about say, Pop Rocks + Coke = exploding stomach. You've got to be severely delusional to take these things that you "hear" as fact.

And honestly, the experience that those girls had on Sorority Life or in Pledged is NOTHING like my own personal experience, and I'm sure that most of the women on here would say the same thing.
