Congrats!

I spent four years at pom-pon squad summer camp at Hope College. It's a great campus!

I had a good hunch that it was Hope. I totally knew Dominique was Sigma, too, just from what you were saying. That's so exciting!

I don't go to Hope, but my best friend is a Cosmo and I hang out at his house all the time. I went to their formal in December and there were TONS of Sigmas there. There are always Sigmas at their rush informal, too, and they're all really nice.

Any chance you'll write who the other houses were?
Wow, that's amazing that you knew it was Hope, even though I didn't say what state is was in or anything!!!

I won't publicly reveal who the other sororities are, but you can probably figure it out if you know what Hope is like... especially Aundrea and Aubrey.

To everyone else, thank you so much for your well wishes. I am very excited. And something that makes me even more excited: Today I started to find out who the other girls were who got bids, and some people who weren't invited back to third closed or final tea for Aubrey made it.

I never really told you guys, or I might have touched on it, but it was really important to me that I made the decision Dominique or SS for me, not because another sorority rejected me.

Well, anyway, I saw some other girls who got invited back to Aundrea even though they didn't make the final two closed and I now know that I had a pretty good chance of getting in and that means that it was ME who made the choice to go SS!

Ever since Fall Rush events, I had been wanting to be an Aundrea. I had met lots of girls, I seemed to hit it off with them (although I was still slightly intimidated and wondering how I would fit in with them) and I just thought they were the place for me. I was really struggling between them and Sigmas before the Third Closed event, but they didn't send me an invite and my choice was made for me.

But you know what? During Pref, I put Sigma Sigma down first knowing that there was still a chance that I could be an Aundrea. I put down Sigma Sigma because they liked me best and because I liked them best. But I think what really made me decide to put SS first (despite the fact that a lot of girls were still putting Aundrea down first even though they hadn't been invited to their last events) was the possibility of actually getting an Aundrea bid. If Aundrea members would have shown up instead of Sigmas, I would have been really sad.

And that's how I know that I made the right choice. I didn't do it based on reputation, I didn't do it based on what other people thought of me, and ultimately, I didn't do it because another sorority rejected me. I made the decision for MYSELF, because I thought it was the right place for me and where I should be.

So, I just feel really good about my choice; even better than before because I feel like it was truly my choice in the end.

Thanks again for all of your support!
