I have the 2GB iPod nano. I've been told two different ideas on battery charging. I was told that you only charge the battery every couple of days because each "charge" effectively lowers the overall life or capacity of the battery.
I've also been told it's fine to just charge it every night so the battery is full for the next day. I know that usage plays a part obviously, but does it matter either way how often you charge it?
thanks. (this is for Cali_Keisha or anyone else who can answer.)

Love it!
I just received my Nano yesterday & i love it. I got it engraved. It says:
Soror My Name
Alpha Kappa Alpha
Mine can hold 240 songs, but just as with cds that I make...I only make cds out of songs I can listen to years from now. So right now I'll add songs as I think of them. And delete those that get old lol
I'm still trying to learn it & learn how to add bas, but I'll figure that out oe someone can just tell me

You will need to call Tech Support. You may need a new battery.

hey sorors, i'm on my second ipod and i love it. my first was a 10GB 3G pod--touch wheel. my second one is a 30GB 4G (photo) and i love that one as well, especially the capacity and playing solitaire in color part of me wants the newest one, but it's definitely not a priority. i gave my old one to my husband and now he's addicted. i just love passing the apple love. i also dig dig dig my ibook, but that's a different thread MAC ROX!
here are a couple links that will help you with your battery questions:
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=62018
http://www.apple.com/batteries/ipods.html
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=61434
ilounge.com and the apple site both have great resources for getting to know your pod.

Pink, engraved iPod mini. I love it, but since I use it so much I am FOREVER charging it.
I will probably buy another iPod before the end of the summer (not sure which one). Maybe the one with photo/video capability.

I have the fifth gen IPOD and I just want to tell everyone that it is worth the funds. I love it. The videos play really well and the quality is great too. I LOVE itunes!!!
I keep a pen and paper handy now just in case i'm in the car or at the office listening to music so I can download that song later.

I got mine from Circuit City. Check circuitcity.com. They are on sale for $279.98. They are $299 in the store. Make sure you get that discount, girl! They honor it in-store, but you can order it online, then go and pick it up. Whatever works for ya!
*ETA: The online price is now $289.99.
