Friday-still no word. I don't know if no news is good or bad.

As I was the only one at the 2 out of 3 offered events I went to, there's no way to tell from other rushees.

I have yet another question-if a group does COB, does this mean they're definitely planning to take new members? Is it even possible this late into the school year?

I'm pretty sure a chapter can COB until they have reached total. And this can be done throughout the school year.

I wouldn't stress. Most chapters have meetings on Sunday or Monday and I'm pretty sure (although don't quote me on this) chapters usually have to have an advisor present when their voting new members in. I mean I know we are supposed to have an advisor present for all of our chapter meetings, but we definately have to have one for voting.

Well, still no word, so I'm pretty much assuming no bid

Thanks everyone for all your support! I have one last question-is there a way to inquire about this without being totally sketchy?

Yes. Email or send a thank you note, thanking them for the lovely time you had at their events, expressing your interest in XYZ and politely inquiring for follow-up. Don't contact them again after that, or you could be viewed as a pest.
