We here in Chicago are excited that the White Sox won in a sweep!! Well, maybe not all, some Cubs fans aren't. I root for both the White Sox and Cubs...I know I know, my husband says you can't root for both, but I do. Now we will see on Sunday if the Angels can pull it out, or we will have to go to a game 5.

I also predict that the Cards will win over San Diego and Atlanta will win over Hoston.

Exactly. On the surface it seems like a good matchup with the second and third biggest tv markets playing each other but both teams play second fiddle in their own town.

LOL @ Houston over St. Louis. It'll be Chicago and St. Louis in the World Series, and Chicago will win.

Yes, but the Astros have proven anything can happen....remember a few months ago when they were 15 under 500?

Heh, no. I only like baseball in the post-season, and I don't pay attention to teams from Texas, ever.

ETA: I'm becoming such a freak of a sports fan I'll probably even watch regular season next year. THE HORROR!

There you go baby.

All my predictions are right so far (not too hard to predict though).

Angels over the White Sox in 5! no wait...6...no! i dont know! we will just win it dammit!!!!

Astros over the Cards in I don't know.

You guys think the Angels vs the Yankees was a good series? Seriously tune into the Angels and White Sox man.

Two similar style teams, two asshole managers and both teams with a chip on their shoulder.

Out of the teams left I will have to root for Chicago since they haven't won the WS since 1917.

White Sox in 5 vs the Angels
White Sox in 6 vs St Louis.

I don't know - Houston's pitching staff matches up favorably to St. Louis. It's not that much of a stretch, really.

I'm not happy the Yankees season ended, but really they got farther than I thought. If you'd talked to me in mid-summer, I didn't think they'd even be in the playoffs. This should be a very interesting off-season for them.

This cannot be overstated.

Stros over Cards, Angels over Sox, Stros over Angels (in possibly the worst-hitting World Series since the Dead Ball Era) . . . don't fight me on this boys and girls, I'll scratch you in the eyes.
