Pat's a moron... look at the stuff he said after 9/11.

That fact that he can be "preaching" all day about the importance of the Bible, and the teachings of God & Christ - such as say I don't know a little commandment that says: "Thou shall not kill" - and then get up and make such a stupid comment is further proof of both his idiocy and the hypocracy of his preachings....

But in response, you don't think the media has NOTHING to do with the spin on this? Gimme a break! I'm not saying what he siad was right or wrong, but I think its highly funny that during a time when we are walking on eggshells with Chavez, that some preacher's comments has become so damaging to those precious relations.

In an article, when Chavez was asked for a response about Pat's comments, his response was bascially "Pat who?" We're the ones all worried and in a huff (well some of yall are)

I also don't find it very Christian of him to be passing judgement as he is. Yes, we all do it from time to time, and in this case he could possibly be right, but as a leader I would think that he would try to teach the lesson that judgement is not for man, but for God.

But that will just get us into the whole idea of "religious leaders" such as him and organized religion as a whole, and I don't see a need for it to go in that direction.
Thanks for clarifying.

Venezuelans are notorious for their salty slang... translated literally it means: "Chávez is full of shit."

I don't think anyone is disagreeing and saying Chavez is a nice guy. lol Geez, I hope not.

I'm just wondering why people are giving Pat's comments more power than they really have.

Because he's one of Bush's spiritual advisors. Because he's the spiritual leader of millions of people around the world.

Bush's spiritual advisor in an African American United Methodist minister from Texas and the Rev. Billy Graham. (I thought so). I

I didn't think Pat was because of his VERY critical and outspoken opinion of President Bush concerning...well really everything he's done. LOL (even though he supported Bush during both elections).

But I could be wrong. What's that saying....politics makes for strange bed fellows???

Oh well....

Historically, the Presidents have more than one spiritual advisor. I remember reading in an article recently (can't find the citation, unfortunately) that Robertson was among those that Bush considered part of his 'inner circle'.

Cash--

As far as Chavez' human rights violations as a cause to "render" his ass(ets), and other than harboring terrorists, which can be manipulated in the press to believe by the American people, would taking out Chavez be any "good" for this country--like I'm looking for the financial benefit?

Because, I guess the cynic in me just does not want to believe the US really even cares how much cocaine gets into this country and given that cocaine profits are down, whilst meth profits are up and the biggest supplier is Mexico that gets the ephedra from China and India, why do we really care about a Venezuela for anything?

I mean, we don't give a DAYUM about death and suffering in Dafur, Sudan or Niger or tsunami sweft Indonesians dying from Avian Flu pandemic. So why care about dude who's slashing poor folks throats and gloats on "just why don't you die Fidel"?

Just asking...
