That's AMAZING! I know how ours is and I couldn't imagine someone knowing it by heart.

If you attend almost all of the Initiations since your own, I'm pretty sure you too could have your Ritual memorized -- regardless of whether or not you have a direct participation in it.

Everybody in the 2001 and 2002 new member classes knows it by heart, because they have been the chapter 3 and 4 years.
I've only been through our ritual once outside my own, so I have plenty of time to get it down.

Here's a question for you all...
Are there any old-timers out there (like me) who have forgotten parts of their ritual? I remember the big stuff, but it's been over 20 years since I've been around an active Tri Delta chapter. I'm dying to get involved again, but I feel silly that I can't remember certain things. Has this happened to anyone else?

delta tri am i
i think that you would find the majority of alumnae your age or older have forgotten parts of their ritual, but also that you would be amazed at how quickly it will come back to you when you hear it again. if you don't remember your handshake or password or special ritual song or the high sign or the low sign or whatever, the ones that do remember will help you out. i have an advantage because i was ritual chair my junior year in college and as am alumnae have served as advisor to a couple of chapters so have seen the ritual since my college days.

True...it's amazing how much you can pick up just by watching (and paying attention to) something over and over.

seriously, this one time, we were having a mixer in the basement (where we usually kept the pink goat). we had to put her in the bedroom on the top floor...which just happened to be mine! what a mess! i can't even tell you how many articles of clothing got eaten by our pink goat!

You Phi Mu's think hiding a pink goat is hard? Try hiding a green giraffe.

The storage bill for our 20 foot tall skull made of neon lights is astronomical. Oops, I've said too much.
