So Rory is home for spring break and gets a job doing inventory at the bookstore. Lorelai is still mad at her mother, of course, so she doesn't go to Friday night dinner, but Rory does. Rory gives Emily the cold shoulder, giving her one word answers to her g'mas conversation about the Europe trip that they just got back from. But asks her g'pa all about the trip, thanks only him for the gift they bring her, etc. Emily gets all upset and asks whats wrong with her, and Rory lets her have it, telling Emily her mom was happy with Luke and you ruined it, calls her out on her snobby ways, and leaves. Richard tries to smooth things over and calls Lorelai to tell her to tell Rory to apologize, which she won't, but the conversation (kinda, sorta) puts him on her side and he talks to Emily, who is all mad becuase now Richard is "the favorite" He actually helps Loreli save money on the insurance for the inn, and tells her he is proud of her for her business being successful.

Luke and Lorelai also aren't doing very well. Sookie is worried about Loreli being a lonely spinster staying home every night. (which she has been doing) Luke is burning food, giving people wrong orders, and being an asshole to all the customers kicking them out, yelling at them and Lane etc.

Rory and Logan are doing pretty good it seems. He comes to see her before he leaves for spring break, and calls her during break to tell her to come back to Yale early so they can hang out while campus is empty, which Rory does. Rory also has a talk with Lorelai and tells her that her and Logan are "starting something".

Lane and Zach are doing pretty well, he cooks dinner for her and sets up music and candles, rose petals and everything, obviously hoping to get some. Lane kinda misses the point until he says something and she's like "oh my GOD, you want to have sex" and he's basically like "yeah", and she blurts out "I'm waiting for marriage" and he's like "WHAT" and she's like "I JUST SAID THAT ?" and she's confused and irratated about why this is the one thing that has stuck with her from her strict upbringing.

The final two scenes of the episode are Emily coming to the diner and telling Luke "you win, she wants you, go back to her" It wasn't the most thoughtful way to go about fixing the situation she made, and she still let it be known she didn't really like him, but she says it. The next scene is Loreai watching a star is born, at home, alone, and there is a knock, Loreli answers and it's Luke, he just grabs her and kisses her, one of those old fashioned dip kisses. SOO CUTE !!

I love Gilmore Girls. I made my boyfriend sit and watch it with me, and I kept talking to the tv....he just looked at me like I was crazy. When Luke showed up and kissed Lorelai I threw my hands up and squeaked, cause it was so cute!

I'm scared for the next episode... It seems like they are really making Rory go off the deep end... I hope she doesn't quit Yale.

I see it like this. Many of us are obsessed with this show because things always end up perfect and ideal. Critics hate it for the same reason.

Rory is the heroine. In movies and such, we root for the heroine and want it so that she gets her happily ever after.

Don't get me wrong, I love the show, but don't you guys think that Rory's just TOO perfect? She's not your typical bombshell, but even Luke said she's so angelic that it looks like she could belong on the top of a cake. She got into both Harvard and Yale and was the valedictorian of her class. Having a privileged family sure did help, because I don't know too many daughters of teenage mothers who are actually well off. She managed to score 3 pretty hot guys without really making an effort. She's a wallflower type but everything ALWAYS ends up perfect.

That being said, I really do hope she drops out of Yale. It'd be a good plot twist.

Buuuuuuut, spoiler sites say that there's no official confirmation just yet on whether or not GG has been picked up by the WB for the next season. Cross your fingers, toes, and eyes, everyone. For now GG remains at "Fate Unknown"

Yeah, they do need some Rory " plot twist drama"... it just seems kinda A 'LA Andrea from 90210 getting preggers instead of going to Princeton. Seems like they're trying TOO hard now to make her "not perfect" and have some problems, since she does lead a fairly charmed life. I guess I just hope this isn't what causes the show to "jump the shark" ya know ?

True that. I'm optimistic that the show will continue for at least one more season because I know they've been a fan favorite for years now. Last I checked the WB hasn't yet announced plans for A LOT of their popular shows -- Charmed and Smallville included!

They're just trying to make us nervous that our favorite show might go away.....
Don't you think it would be a bad thing for GG to go away? I mean it's even doing well, despite the American Idol fan base that it competes with......

They just signed the head writer, Amy Sherman-Palladino, for another year. I don't think they would do that if they were cancelling.

Since Rory has always been so angelic, I don't think that the writers would necessarily suddenly make her turn around to be a "bad girl." The previews for the next episode said that someone proposes, so if Logan were to propose to her, maybe she would drop out of Yale to make his family happy because they said that they wanted a stay-at-home wife for him and not a career wife.

I think the show won't jump the shark unless one of the Gilmores gets pregnant. That will be the end, I'm telling you.

I hope Rory does end up going sort of wild -- OTW is right about her being all perfect perfect. It really is time for her to learn that always doing what's asked of her isn't enough and everything isn't always going to come so easily for her.

I don't think they'd even have the heart to make her a bad girl. Too many GG fans will cry foul. I think they'll probably just give her a shitty situation to deal with.

As far as the marriage proposal goes...I don't think we'll find out anything at all until NEXT season.

What about Luke proposing to Lorelai? He did just buy a house and all. That seems more feasible to me than Rory and Logan.

Sure it's possible...but it's too expected.

If that's the case, getting Lorelai to say yes is somewhat unlikely. You saw how freaked out she was when she thought she was pregnant. She liked how things are at the moment and finally felt like a single adult for once.

Anyone catch the season finale last night? It's gonna be WAY too long until next season, that's for sure. By about half way through the show, I figured it would be either Rory or Lorelai asking Logan or Luke(respectively) to get married. I NEED for Luke to say yes... at this point, it's vital to my existence...

BTW, I just got GG Season 3 on DVD when it came out a couple of weeks ago... has anyone heard projections for when Season 4 will come out???
