If you are members of other organizations, what offices have you held? Have you served as a/an committee chair(s)?
What resources/connections do you have that would be beneficial to the local chapter, if pursuing Graduate Membership?

I've been thinking about this. It reminded me of a Matrix Reloaded quote:
There is no escaping reason; no denying purpose. Because as we both know, without purpose, we would not exist.
It is purpose that created us.
Purpose that connects us.
Purpose that pulls us.
That guides us.
That drives us.
It is purpose that defines us.
Purpose that binds us.
I just wanted to share that. Reflect...

I have served as secretary, committee chair (two large projects), committee member, senator in student government, and group leader in a student mentor program.

Besides my personal relationships with the leadership of other local organizations, I am an almost excellent public speaker. I am working to further hone those skills. Additionally, due to my work experience, I enjoy being the "face" of an organization. Not everyone is willing to or wants to do that. Otherwise, I can only say that I have connections in the Fortune 500 company that I work for, a large consulting firm, and a smaller company that would be willing to provide corporate sponsorships.

For Clarity:
When I asked resources/connections, I am asking about FINANCIAL RESOURCES/CONNECTIONS...
Do any of you have any financial resources/connections (corporate) that would be beneficial to a local graduate chapter and its endeavors?

*IF invited, I do feel as though I would be ready for challenges/rewards.
*I welcome any new challenges with open arms and an open mind. I personally feel as though I am equip with enough knowledge and experience to take on different tasks, all the while continuing to learn during the progression of these challenges.

If you had an opportunity to attend a "closed" meeting (ie. Boule, Regional Conference) COMPLETELY undetected; would you go?
*Probably....but maybe I'm just nosy like that.
If all membership requirements were TOTALLY waived and ANYONE could be member, would you still want to be an Alpha Kappa Alpha woman?
*Nah. Like someone said before, membership has it's privileges.
If the fees associated with membership were $10,000, would you still pursue. How about $25,000?
*Depending on what these fees were associated with (maybe used to pay your dues for 5+ years or something) and how much time was given to acquire the money.
If you KNEW FOR A FACT that another woman being considered for membership was a Liar, would you say anything? And why or why not .........How about a Thief?.......................How about a "homewrecker"...........................
*Well I have run into some people with 'shady tendencies' but I haven't necessarily told a member about them. All things done in the dark will be brought to the light...hopefully. Now if someone directly asked my opinion of this person...I'm not gonna lie.

at some of these responses. Many of them are a bunch of rhetoric that don't answer the friggin question. Good luck at Rush/Interviews.

Good luck indeed.
I'm amazed that there are so few respondents.

Sawrah, do you really expect candor?
But I'm basically with you. Meanwhile, I'm still wondering about my inquiry...

Why would they respond?
IMO, SOME of the peeps aren't ready. They don't have a CLUE!

THIS IS A SERIOUS MATTER

Exactly my point. Are y'all scared? Of what?
Sorors, WE have more posts in both this thread and the Ask an AKA thread than do our supposedly diligent SFs.
Now, I'ma be frank (can I, if I'm a woman?). The NEXT time somebody hollars about how heavy-handed we are with moderating membership questions and other inquiries regarding the sorority, I'ma go 'head and pull these here to the top. Y'all talked all that junk, and now what? NOTHING. Just as I thought.
I bet you each and every SF on this site could recite Patty's 411, though, I bet you that. And I bet they know all about Beyonce's real hair and what Jigga is packin'. Or what the latest CD out is. Who is ANTM? I bet they know that, too. And most of them know the collegiate and fraternal status of all the Boyz II Men members, as well.
Make SURE you think of this when you are PMing me and my sorors asking questions about membership and looking for guidance and all that carrying on. I said we wouldn't look down on your answers. I didn't say we wouldn't look down on cowardice.
I was even directed to find MY answer on www.aka1908.com. Good luck at rush/interviews INDEED.
I'm disgusted.

LMAO. YOU get PMs regarding membership etc. ...YOU (all) ARE GOOD!
I say we close the threads in the next few days. I believe our work has been DONE!
