Our book club discussed this book this past week. Although I have not finished, I will because it was interesting and enlightening. I think the parts that made me bothered was where the author infused his life history with life of the elite. I like reading anythnig that gives me a history lesson and while I have never lived this lifestyle, I find aspects of it interesting but I appreciate my life, past and present because it has shaped me into the person I am today.

I stopped reading "For the Love of Money". I was very disappointed in it.

I liked "God Don't Like Ugly".
I'm currently reading "Their Eyes Were Watching God" (it's good).

I read this book and I loved it. Nice to see different men come together. You will enjoy the rest of it.

Thanks for the website info.

Another good book is called The Shirt Off His Back by Parry Brown.

I just finish reading Flyy Girl. It was okay, but I would not recommend it to anyone.

Are you a bell hooks fan like me? *lol* I love her and have admired her work for a long time. I read "All About Love" too, and it's actually something that I think both men and women could benefit from reading.

Kindred was a really good book. I couldn't put it down. I think I read it in like a day.

I was in Blockbuster last week--did anyone else know that this is a movie, now? I hope it's as good as the book was.

Jodi Picoult is a great author. I've read My Sister's Keeper and just finished The Pact. They were both so sad, but totally captivating.
