Those two songs are my absolute favorites. I am 20 and "If This World Were Mine" is just so off the hook. Anything by Tony Terry has got me singing.

My brother serenaded my sister-in-law at their reception by singing "The Way You Look Tonight" by Frank Sinatra (Some day...when I'm awfully low, when the world is cold, I will feel a glow just thinking of you, and the way you look tonight - I could continue, but I won't, LOL). There wasn't a dry eye in the house. I LOVES ME SOME FRANK SINATRA - the man was a true mack. Their first dance was to "What a Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong. Very nice.
One friend of mine had her first dance as "A Whole New World" by Peabo Bryson and Regina Belle, from the Aladdin soundtrack. I thought, wow, what a great song...you know, starting off in the new life together as husband and wife...a whole new world.
"So Amazing" by Luther Vandross is a good one. "Love has truly been good to me, not even one sad day or minute have I had since you've come my way." DAMN, I wanna feel like that, LOL.
You've got to make sure to listen to the entire lyrics of the whole song, because there are nice songs out there that unfortunately get a little NASTY. Like "Adore" by Prince..."Love is to weak to define just what you mean to me" is nice, but he gets a little freaky deaky in there too "Was I the first, was I your every fantasy"...uh, that's too much info for a wedding. Another one that gets you is "You've Got a Friend" by Donny Hathaway and Roberta Flack - "You just call out my name, and you know wherever I am..." but then there's that part where they're talkin' about "they'll take your soul if you let them" and stuff like that that ain't all that cute.
"You're All I Need (to get by)" by Ashford and Simpson is a good one too. "We got the right foundation..."
That's enough for now (smile).

But Babyface sang it on that episode of MARTIN when Martin and Gina got married. Thanks. I read alot of wonderful and creative ideas.

Babyface? I thought that was Brian McKnight in that Martin episode.

I have a couple of suggestions.
Not sure of the artist, but I like an oldie but goodie, "Latest Greatest Inspiration."
Also, a song I plan on using "one day" CeCe Winans, "Your Strength is Perfect." I absolutely love that song.
"Messiah" is another good one. It's off one of Kelly Price's CDs.

Well, I just got married two weeks ago (April 20th) and some of my songs were:
Inseparable - Will Downing
My Love, Sweet Love - Patti Labelle
Unconditional Love - Taralynn Ramsey
and I came down the aisle to You and I by Stevie Wonder.

Hello GC'ers!!!
I absolutely LOVE weddings so much that I started a coordinating business. I got married last year and my wedding party came down to "Love" by Musiq and I came down the aisle to "You Are So Beautiful".
Also, I'm in a wedding in August, and some of the ideas we came up with are:
For the groom and his two Best Men to come down to "Black Brotha" (I think that's the name of it) by Angie Stone. (he has to enter via the aisleway too because of the layout of the park area). Also she wants the rest of the wedding party to come down to, let's see, I don't know the name of the song or the artist, but the beginning is similar to this......(don't laugh)....... "la-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la, do-do-do-do-do-oo" Then there's a high pitched "Ahhhh-hhhh" Don't laugh at me yal, that's the best way I can describe the song. If anyone can translate my rendition , please let me know who the artist is. There's a few more that she's considering for the Old/New School mix.
Oh another one that a lot of people suggested to me is "The Wedding Song" (or something similar) by John P. Kee. Has anyone heard that song?

Minnie Ripperton is the artist you are referring to. I believe the name of the song is “Loving You”

Soror Brian McKnight sang the night Martin proposed in the park and Gina was crying, boo hooing and Oh Martin-ing.
Babyface did sing at the wedding.
I Gotta Be by Jagged Edge has to be in my wedding somewhere.
