Question for Alumnae: Do you at least stop at, if not visit, chapters of your GLO when you're in a new town? [/B]
You had sisters of WVU visit your chapter? If you mean sisters of Alpha Delta Pi.. we dont have that sorority here.

They did at one point in time. Just because a sorority isn't on a campus now doesn't mean they weren't before.

I had never heard of ADPi being here before. I know we used to have KD until like 3 years ago I think but they were kicked off. I just assumed that the girl who said she had visited ADPi's here was still in college, and I didn't think they had been here recently, I've never heard anything about them.

They left in 1987, I believe. Honeychile is an alumna.

And what is it with you and bringing up negative things about other groups on your campus? How exactly is KD leaving campus have anything to do with this thread?

How would you feel if someone started bad mouthing your chapter?

You're wearing your letters on this board. Represent them like a lady.

I think you're totally misunderstanding what I'm saying. I was NOT talking down KD, I wasn't even here when they left WVU, some of my older sisters were. I seriously wasnt saying anything bad about them, I was just using their sorority saying that that was the only one I had heard of leaving my school recently. I didn't know ADPi had been here 15 years ago.

Some of the stellar alumnae of Alpha Delta Pi were from the Alpha Upsilon - WVU chapter, including one of my favorite ADPis, Pam Lewis. At least two of the alumnae in our hierarchy are from WVU, and a major ADPi scholarship is named after a late sister, Betty Riley Miller, AU.

The house is now owned by another fraternity or sorority - I forget which one, but I've emailed Pam to find out. It's on a corner, three stories high, with a lot of large glass windows in the front. I spent the night there, so I do know that the chapter existed.

I see you're fairly new on GreekChat; we try to save our snarky attitudes for when they're needed.

Oh OK I didn't know ADPi was here and that you were an alumna. Sorry about that. I'm not sure which sorority house that might be.. maybe sigma kappa?

I wasn't trying to have a bad attitude, just confused about ADPi's existence here. Thanks for clearing it up!

Just so you understand, I'm NOT an alumna of the WVU chapter. I just know a LOT of sisters from there who would probably cry if they thought that they had been completely forgotten.

I still haven't heard from Pam (who did go to WVU) about which GLO now owns the house, but I'll post it when I hear (along with which years it was there).

No I know you arent an alumna of the WVU chapter. Please let me know what house used to be the old ADPi house when you find out, I'm curious!

AOPi is on a corner and their house DOES have a lot of big windows in the front. I agree, their house is really pretty.. I think the Kappa house is gorgeous from the outside, too.

Yes I like the Kappa house too. I think all the houses are nice except for 2.

I bet you know which two I'm talking about but I won't say which ones because as you can see people get easily offended here.

Yeah we do have pretty nice sorority houses, and yes I know which two youre talking about. I think that building near E Moore Hall would be such a pretty sorority house.. I dont know the name of it or what its even used for, but its that big gray stone one with the white balcony. Do you know when Sig Ep's house is going to be finished? I heard its supposed to be done by spring but it looks like theyre a long way off..?

I think you're talking about the Puriton House. It has offices inside and the inside isn't very nice. But it looks nice on the outside.

I'm not sure when the Sig Ep house will be done. I'm guessing it will be done by the END of spring. You know how construction goes here (i.e. Moutainlair parking garage)
