I had Garfield for sure...I remember looking at catalogs and picking it out! I had another one before that, but can't remember what it was for sure...it was pink...I think Strawberry Shortcake.

I had a cute sleeping bag that was white with bright color blocks. My parents didn't want to get me anything related to a particular theme like My Little Pony or Rainbow Brite, so that I would still be able to use it years later without getting laughed at for having a "dated" sleeping bag.

When I got older, I got a plain purple sleeping bag that, unlike the other bag, is suitable for outdoor/camping use. I still have that one... it's very warm.

Blue LL Bean. My bro still used it up until 2 years ago for boy scouts.

My friend broke my bed once, so I ended up having to get a pink sleeping bag.

I had an original one that my grandmother made - it was super cool. She took a basic bag and then sewed on this whole scene - a forest, a city with streets and cars - it was a game unto itself!

However, once I got into junior high I wanted a "more mature" bag so I got a mauve satiny one. The inside was that 80's paint swipe design in white and different shades of mauve.

A Boy Scout sleeping bag.

Before I got that, I used my father's military issue mummy bag (had a hood, so that you could really wrap up if you wanted to) from WWII. No one had me beat!

And for a book bag, I used his Army rucksack, compete with name stamped on it and pockets for, among other things, ammo (which, of course, I did not have).

Sometimes I miss being ten, but since my son almost starts crying when he says he wants to stay 8 forever, I'd better not tell him.
