A Boy Scout sleeping bag.
Before I got that, I used my father's military issue mummy bag (had a hood, so that you could really wrap up if you wanted to) from WWII. No one had me beat!
And for a book bag, I used his Army rucksack, compete with name stamped on it and pockets for, among other things, ammo (which, of course, I did
not have).
Sometimes I miss being ten, but since my son almost starts crying when he says he wants to stay 8 forever, I'd better not tell him.
