After seeing 8 Mile and Detriot Rock City, I don't care to ever go to Detroit.
At least, I think it was Detriot Rock City....one of those scary violent movies.

OK smartass. I am not an idiot. I am aware that Detroit is not a state. However, someone a minute ago said Thailand...so I thought it was understood that we are now talking about places rather than states. There are places in Michigan that I would not mind going.

Oh, I don't know about that! Bars, maybe, but campus, we definitely have them beat--we're right across from the middle of campus, they're more on the western edge. We're definitely the sorority house that's closest to campus and the bars. So. There.
and I lived at Pi Kapps the summer after my freshman year, so I know what I'm talking about!

Ohh sweetheart those are just the ghettos! I'm taking Urban Geography and History of Detroit right now. Seriously, one side of 8 Mile is really nice, the other side is run down homes. Quoted by my African American professor, and 2 of my white professors "If you are white you better not go to the other side of 8 Mile". It's perfectly safe to just drive down 8 Mile.
Parts of Downtown Detroit can be pretty scary, but it's kind of a smaller area that is unsafe. Alot of metro Detroit areas are super nice. But believe me, I get "crap your pants scared" in parts. Like when a certain Pike accidentally gave me the wrong directions to the Pike house, which is located on Cass Quarters, which is like the most dangerous part of downtown Detroit. Yes, saw a hooker walking down the street. But don't be scurred of Detroit, it's actually pretty nice here!
I'm scared of anywhere with a ghost town. We exitted one on our way to leadership conference when we got lost, and seriously this place was dead and scary. We got the hell outa there!
Oh I think I'd be afraid of Cali too, after seeing Earthquake movies.

Despite all of the movies about Detroit, it is not that bad! I can think of worse places to live or visit.

I doubt that any of us have heard of any of these places. Such information can only cause nightmares, and do no good. Please don't post them. Thank you, in advance, for your cooperation.
