Always True to You! I like it!!!
Any other suggestions for funny stuff? It was pointed out to me today by someone I used to perform with that I am funny, and if I don't do a funny song, I am giving up what makes me special to be just another girl singing.
BTW, I am wearing a red evening gown. Is it okay to also wear red for the talent?

There are two schools of thought on this. Some feel wearing one color throughout the competition helps them be more memorable (i.e., you become "The Girl in Red"). Most people choose to go with a variety of colors. No matter what you do, make sure you look stunning in both! A red or pink gown would be great for "Always True to You", IMO.

I vote you go with "Supercalafragalisiticexpialadocious" from Mary Poppins

Okay, so I am probably doing "I'm gonna wash that man right outta my hair."
Still wondering, though...
Can I change the words to update it/make it funnier?
Real words: If you laugh at different comics/if you root for different teams
My version: If he doesn't watch Survivor/if he roots against the Cubs
I am still working out the later rhymes and such. I think it would get the audience more involved, but will the judges be like wtf is she doing? I don't think that Cole Porter is too sacred to mess with, but I need some other opinions here.
Thanks again guys!

If you can really belt, how about "Defying Gravity" from Wicked?
Or, another "cute/funny" song from Wicked is "Popular."

I think it's a great idea to update lyrics....
I've done a few shows where we've done it and it turned out well.

Yes, if you're a solid singer who can nail the song. If you're even a little shakey, doing this could come across as gimmicky, like you're trying to make up for lack of talent (not saying you're not talented...I've never heard you sing!).
BTW, I just sent you a PM

Well, it is not that difficult of a song, so I don't anticipate any technical problems. I am gonna go ahead with the word changes, because I think that I iwll connect better witht eh audience.
Should I wear my badge to the interview?
Thanks for all the continued advice, guys!

Sure, especially if you mention Phi Mu on your application. I wore my SAI badge and judges asked me about it, which turned into a good lead-in for other things.
