Just a tidbit of information I found fascinating, considering the anti-Semitism concerns some people have about the film: Maia Morgenstern, the Romanian actress who plays Mary, is Jewish. She has publicly stated that she is proud of the film and its message, and believes the anti-Semitism fears will fade after the movie is seen by the public.
