We're giving out personalized mint tins. They'll have

"Meghan and Daniel
October 2, 2004"

printed on them. Rather inexpensive and still useful

We're also considering letting the guests take home the mini wine glass candles we're using for centerpiece accents. They're tiny glasses with wine-scented wax and wine charms around the stems. We don't know what to do with them when the whole thing's over. Might as well let the guests keep them.

For the whole registry list issue:

I never laughed as hard as when my sister got an invitation, printed out on a home computer, with a card inside that said "We are registered at Wal-Mart and Home Depot." Now, if that's all you can afford, that's great, but I wouldn't advertise those two places in an invitation.

I think it's kind of tacky to include the list. I would tell all my bridesmaids, mother, mother in law, grandparents, etc. where I'm registered and let it up to them to spread the word.

My sister refused to register- she thinks people will just give her money that way. I say she'll get a lot of junk, like vases and picture frames, that have no real use when you're just starting out.
