I just wanted to wish you the best of luck, and I hope you do find your home in one of those wonderful chapters.

GOOD LUCK!

Have fun tonight at the House Tours... They are always great because you can get a glimpse of your potential new sisters personalities!! (Ex. how they decorate, probably not know if they are neat or messy though, HAHA!)
GOOD LUCK and have tons of FUN!
I know you will find your home!

house tours went well last night, it was funny because every house has the themed rooms and 3 of the houses had the same themes...like i love the oc, suite 16 and the summit (insert chapter name here) for the president's suite. also, barbie themed decorations and finding nemo are quite popular. and i got to see my first sleeping porch.

i also didn't know there were so many different ways to make water interesting...mint, mandarin orange, lime, lemon, cherry, raspberry...all in the water i've had this week. i've also made a lot of valentines and gift bags.

i have another couple of parties tomorrow night at 7 and 8pm and one of them is with the house i am leaning towards right now.

i honestly don't know how anyone could smile and be happy during formal rush...14 party day must be a killer.

Glad to hear that you are having a good time...a lot of people lose sight of it, but that is really what recruitment is all about. Best wishes for continued fun!

so yes it's narrowed down to two and i didn't talk about them...so here's a little info

blue blue house is a great house. the girls were really out going and there was the most natural laughter in that house than in any of the previous houses (as opposed to the high pitched nervous laughs that i know are normal for pnm's). i also liked the way the house itself was set up, the philanthropy and the effort they took to rotate women through so we didn't just meet one woman from the house but 3 or 4. i also wasn't as much aware of time, and it flew by. it helped to know several women when i walked in so i loosened up, but i didn't talk to them during the 50 minute party, instead i met some new people and the conversation started with my major, etc., but also included non-generic things which was good.

pink pink house is also a good house. the women are really nice and friendly, but i didn't get as good of a sense about the philanthropy and how much time is devoted to it. that was something that's really important to me and i kind of expected them to be stronger in that direction. i did like that there was community service outside of their national philanthropy in our local community and such. i also liked the hous gpa

bottom line: both houses have a lot of involvement in student government and other campus activities which is really important to me since i am heavily involved with school and such. i really like both and i'm sure either one would be a good fit. after last night's house tours, they are much more neck and neck than friday. now i just need to see how tomorrow goes.

i feel dumb though because i have NO CLUE how informal works and i guess i'm lucky i even got contacted because i missed the informational meeting because of a student government meeting. i didn't know that the same house would invite you to multiple parties...i am an airhead sometimes. hahaha. but i guess the more times you go to one house (duh...i am so dumb sometimes) the better your chances are of getting a bid. just like formal.

hopefully *crosses fingers* i will get a bid from one of these houses, if not, i will probably cob.

jeez...that's a long one. but it will have to make up for the fact that i will not update again until thursday evening when results are announced...
