How am I being Nasty? I only responded POSITIVELY to you suggesting that I have a Blessed day. I told you to do the same. What's wrong with that? Now, if you did not mean what you said SINCERELY, then I guess you would take offense. But that is something you have to deal with.

FYI, I am NOT a nasty person. Yes, I do have an AKA2D (AKAtude), but I would not expect you to understand...

Hey SORORS and other SFs...I'll Skee Ya'll l8r in another forum out of respect for MYSELF, MY SORORS, and MY most beloved SORORITY!

Not to add fuel to the fire but AKA2D91. This soror has your back.

HERSTORY: just a piece of friendly advice. Don't try to check or disrespect a soror on our chatboard.

Am I the only one tripping of that? or is everyone else biting their tongue?

I think LadyAKA is correct. Something was taken out of context. I understood quite clearly that she was simply wishing Her Story a blessed day, too. What is so nasty about that? I think she was also stating that is what America is all about- that we can agree to disagree!

Now, back to the subject of the thread please!

SOROR YOU ARE RIGHT ON ABOUT THE ABOVE POST. I SHOULDN'T HAVE SAID ANYTHING.

BUT I WAS NEVER KNOWN FOR ONE TO HOLD MY TONGUE.

ON A DIFFERENT NOTE AND BACK TO THE ORIGINAL SPIRIT OF THE POST.

FOR THOSE WHO WANT FURTHER SCOOP ON THE EMINEM ISSUE.

HE IS FEATURED IN THE BACK OF THIS ISSUE OF PEOPLE'S MAGAZINE.

THERE IS A ARTICLE ABOUT HIM AND HIS WIFE AND HER ATTEMPTED SUICIDE.

(SORRY FOR THE CAPS)

When I delete a post, I do so for and reason. Don't go back and post it again. If you do have respect for the forum as you say you do, then drop it. We don't need to have all this back and forth to have the last word.

As I stated previously, please stick with the subject of the thread. Her Story, if you have something to say to my soror ChAKAlate, then send her an e-mail. We don't need to waste space with pettiness.

Soror DG,

I was wrong, Amazon.com does have Common's CD, I received it yesterday and I'm jamming!

"...as long as its funky, alright, OK..."

My husband and I have been rockin' it for a couple of months now, and I've noticed he has some videos that have been getting some airplay (for a change). I'm curious about your comparison of Will Smith and Common, though. Common does most definitely (and speaking of him-Mos Def-does anyone have his CD? I want to get it, but the music budget is on the back burner right now) CURSES! I haven't purchased any Will Smith stuff since my teen years, and then it was "Girls of the World Ain't Nothing But Trouble" (remember that, children of the 70s and 80s?). But, I do like his music, even though I think it's fluff. It's like enjoying a movie or book that I don't think it necessarily holds it down on the intellectual level, but is still enjoyable.

Common's "Like Water for Chocolate" is the shiznit, ladies! I've been rockin' it in my car for the past several weeks, and it's restored my faith in the hip hop genre. Buy it!

Soror Taykimson: now I'm gonna have "long as it's funky, long as it's funky, alright, okay..." in my head all day. I needed that!

Soror DG,

I'm smiling. I do like that song. Especially the hook? (I think that is what its called) Each time the song reaches that part I have to get up and dance.

Soror AKAtude: You should buy it. I think you'll like it.

All: Thanks for the recommendation! I'll have to remember you guys when I come across a good CD.
