How HYPOCRITICAL of you to come on a thread about DEMOCRATS and denounce them and then admonish, NO, verbally ATTACK people who do the EXACT SAME THING! And not only that, but you make sweeping generalizations that all Democrats are this way or that way.

You are exactly what is wrong with this country. Your mindset is what prevents us from making any sort of progress. I don't care if you support GW, Clinton, or whoever...with an attitude like yours, we don't need any enemies outside of this country. You prove we still have plenty right here. Bigoted attitudes like yours are the platform for many terrorist groups right here in the good ol' U.S. of A. Am I calling you a terrorist? Absolutely not. I am saying that the mentality you put forth in your posts is remarkably similar to members of the extremist groups who exist here under the guise of "free speech."
If this is going to turn into a firing squad about political views, I can say this, I am a republican and agree with librasoul 110%. Based on a few other posts that have been made in poor taste (even in non-political party threads)

If you don't agree with someone's opinion in another thread, that's great, but there isn't a need to blast them for not thinking the same as you... there is a such thing as disagreeing respectfully.

Anyway, that's all I have to say about that.

You know what?

I read what AXOAlum posted, and i laughed. I thought it was pretty funny.. What's also funny is that there is an argument on this thread that is being perpetuated by people who, if they want to talk politics, have their own thread to do so. Obviously their target isn't politics, it's personal or they would have left.

She didn't post her rant on your democrat thread, she even said she deleted her attacks on there before posting this one. IMHO, the dems that are on here fighting with her are just looking for attention.

She posted what she said, and she posted it in a GOP thread with a percieved audience of GOP's. dems? if she offended you....skulk on out and post about it in your democrat thread, let us GOPs have a laugh at what she said and move on.

I'm as gulity as the next GCer of getting riled up over things i hold dear, for example Texas, or when betarulz or libra bash A&M. But you have to pick your battles and to me, the dems on this thread should just drop it.

As for the bad representation of a MODERATOR on GC -- take it up with John -- or start a discussion about me on the mod forum and let's have it out. I did NOT personally attack you or anyone -- I simply stated that I had DELETED my own posts from the democraTs forum, and was bringing my thoughts here. I never said that YOU were a cry baby, pissy pants, etc. -- if you chose to put on those shoes, then that was your choice not mine. Talk about putting WORDS in the mouth.... see, there we go again, hypocritical people are everywhere!! Its not just me!

Anxiously awaiting you to contact John and get me banned from the shrine.....
I'm not trying to get you banned, honestly, it doesn't matter to me.

I never thought you were referring to me and I still don't.

Never did I say you called me those things, not once, I did not put those words into your mouth, I am not the hypocrite...these are your assumptions

Hello fellow Republicans! I am a member of the Federation of Republican Women here in NC, secretary of the Mecklenburg Evening Republican Women's Club, and a member of the Young Republicans' Club in Charlotte. I enjoy being able to attend the monthly meetings to discuss GOP issues. Each month we also have elected officials or declared candidates come speak to us about the issues. I learn a lot about how the City Council is run, what decisions are pending, and get to know the candidates as people during informal discussions over dinner. I also get to know many fellow Republicans that I would enver otherwise meet.

To what clubs do the rest of you belong? I would be interested in swapping ideas with you.

You know, if you give a drug dealer just "one more chance" to hide his drugs before the police show up, he'll probably find a way to do it!

This part was really uncalled for. Using a national tragedy that way. Very disgusting.

"WHY IN THE HELL did the democraps get it in there that people who DO NOT pay taxes should still get a refund?? I mean, if I walk up to the returns line at Wal-Mart and there are 10 people ahead of me with shirts that they bought and are now returning, should I really expect to walk up there with NO shirt to return and say "I would still like some money back" -- "

This is a very interesting way of looking at it. I never thought of using this analogy before. I haven't listened to any debate by the lawmakers on the subject recently. Were they perhaps trying to mean that the sales taxes that are paid in throughout the year are where the refund is coming from for those who do not pay income taxes?

You all better get your thoughts in fast, because this is what is going to happen once one of the trio sees these threads.

Okay - how about the clarification on this one....in the *OTHER* thread (the one I am NOT allowed to post on since I have this thread) several comments were made regarding "where are the weapons of mass destruction?" -- in my opinion, AIRPLANES are weapons of mass destruction as well as nuclear weapons, bombs, etc. I used this statement to convey that since "no weapons of mass destruction" were found, that *some* people think that the war on terrorism was unfounded. I disagree with this assumption, and used my statement to convey that we never KNOW if/when another incident like this will occur.

So what is disgusting about this is that you *assumed* I was using a national tragedy to be frivolous, when in fact, I was using it as a reply to those who are posting "where are the weapons" -- unfortunately, I am not allowed to post it there, so I did it here.

Thankfully my brother is en route at this very moment back to the States -- his ship arrives in Norfolk tomorrow, and we will be there to greet him and his fellow servicemen/women. I am so proud of the part he has played in helping make America safer, and I sleep better at night knowing that he and all service personnel are on watch.

As someone who waited in agony on 9/11 to find out the fate of family members in the WTC and the Pentagon...
...you have embarassed me as an American.
...you have disgusted me as a Southerner.
...you have embarassed me as a member of Alpha Chi Omega.

I am glad that there are many other Republicans on GC who are mature, dignified, and have senses of humour, and are not hypocrites. Political diversity is what makes this country interesting, dammit!

Is this *not* the same kind of personal attack on me, that I have been accused of towards others? If not, then please explain the difference to me.

Okay -- so why is it OKAY for others to blast ME, but not for me to do the same? I mean I did state that I made the choice to delete my posts from that other thread.... This is what I mean by hypocrisy -- why is it OK for one to do it, but not another??

Glad that you laughed because my point was that after all the bitching on here (and there) for invading forums (especially in response to DZH) was that I chose to delete my posts from there, and move them here -- which is what I thought that *others* wanted since they were bitching about it! Danged if you do, and danged if you don't.

AlphaGamDiva...doing my best to also unhijack....

I do my best to volunteer for the county Republicans here where I live, but most of their meetings occur when I am teaching at the local CC, so I can't do a whole lot.

However, I recently convinced a friend to come work with me who is an avid campaigner, and has worked on a House candidates successful election campaign.

It's good to get out and meet fellow GOP'ers whenever possible.

You aren't the ONLY one who waited in agony....did you even READ what I posted as clarification or did you simply choose to see what you wanted to see?

Never ONCE did I use the word YOU to describe a specific person on GC -- I did, I admit, use the term "democraps" as a generalization (which I have now changed to democraTs) but others used the term republicans as a generalization.

So I was accused of making PERSONAL attacks, but never used the specific name of anyone on here....yet, YOU, munchkin, come on here and bash me and do it VERY personally --

I want someone to answer this ONE question.....WHY is it OKAY to launch personal attacks against ME (AXO Alum) and not for ME to do it to YOU (said persons)? That is what I mean about hypocrisy! Explain the difference to me and I'll possibly understand it a little better!!
