Flying from DAL with at least two weeks' notice (at least) is about $49 each way (less taxes and fees) Dunno 'bout ELP.

I just flew to El Paso last week on fun fare and it was about 100$ both ways with tax, etc...
ok so lets meet at a restaurant and then go from there-any favorites?
I think we need to go to Howl at the Moon for a couple of hrs.

Here are some restaurants I would suggest:
- Mi Tierra (About 1/2 mile from the river; the best Mexican food!)
- Casa Rio (on the river; Good Mexican food)
- Tomatillo's (3 miles from downtown; Really good Mexican food with big plates, really good margaritas)
- Cadillac Bar (downtown; Live Music, great drinks and food, fun atmosphere)
- Paesanos (Riverwalk; Really good Italian food, but a bit pricey)
I'm pretty sure everyone knows of the following restaurants. All are located on the river, or downtown.- Dick's Last Resort
- Texas Land & Cattle
- Hardrock Cafe
- Planet Hollywood
- Fuddruckers

alphachiohmy, I will be living in SA at the time of your visit, and I am pretty sure lifesaver will be there, and perhaps Kitso. I'd love to meet up with you! Just let me/us know a few weeks before hand so that we can see what we can do.

Planet Hollywood has been closed. Its ok tho. Theres only so much Demi Moore, Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwatrzangger I can handle.
Also for bars d/t, theres Swig, Zink, The Mark, etc.
I can always do Howl....
As for restuarunts - Rudys is always a good choice. I agreww with DeltaSig - Floore's Is great.

Do y'all really want to meet downtown? that might be a huge hassle. It may be easier to meet somewhere on the North side, like Rudy's (a personal fave) or maybe Crabby Jacks on 281.
That way we can all meet up and have a brew, then carpool down to the River if that's what y'all want to do. Also, lifesaver, i'd be down with going to any places you know of that AREN'T on the riverwalk. I mean, i'm sure most of us have been to the river and it might be cooler to check out some of the other hot spots SA has to offer.
So, San Antonio is Kitso's vote, preferring to meet somewhere other than the River and then make our way down there later.
Kitso

life, I guess it's been a while since I've been down that way.
It sounds like we have a few votes for Rudy's. I think Crabby Jacks would be cool though. They have music, no? Also, as for the after dinner spot, if we are going somewhere that is 21+, we need to make sure everyone is 21. If not, we need to see about somewhere else. I am thinking that everyone going is 21+ though.

This all sounds great to me and my other half.
If we do SAT, my hat is in the ring for Mi Tierra for dinner.
We just sent my SIL and her husband there for the weekend, they came back new people.
