Unless she signed something that says "I will not be a porn star," - I don't know how sueing her could even be considered by a judge?
This is kind of a stretch, but maybe upon joining XYZ she had to sign a paper saying "I will always meet the membership requirements for XYZ, which include meeting AB chapter academic standards, remaining in good financial standing, and representing XYZ in the highest light."

Yes, I thought about that - but unless there is some kind of specific, they can't really hold her to it.

It's like making someone sign a sheet of paper that will pay you back some sort of sum of money, and when they only pay you back $5 instead of $500, you can't really do anything because you didn't specify an exact mount.

That was filmed at my school, and one of the girls who was followed by VH1 was one of my Bro's gfs. The AXO who was on the show is no longer part of the house, or so I have been told by many AXOs.
I just seen that show last month. Unbelieveable

Wouldnt it be missuse of their logo though? obviously if she couldnt get her letters tattoooed on her body and then did and they ended up on a porn movie would the national office have to give permission for them to be used?
Thats how i thought about it. But maybe not.

Well, I don't know how the trademarking goes on NPC sororities. Now if she was in a Pan-Hellenic sorority like Alpha Kappa Alpha or Delta Sigma Theta, they could sue her because those are all registered and copyrighted trademarks (hints the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc.).

So - I guess only if her sorority letters (or whatever else on her) is trademarked, then she could be sued.

I know if a Delta Gamma ever got "AnchorSplash" tattooed on her without permission she could be sued! hahaa - AS is trademarked, and we have to put TMs after the words.

I think that most NPC sororities are also incorporated, they just don't emphasize it as the NPHC groups do.

Pretty much the only time things like this can be punished is if someone is still an undergrad. If an alum does something like this, the most they can do is strip her of her membership and she probably won't care anyway. You can't sue someone for something as intangible as good taste or moral behavior. It would be a waste of the sorority's time and they would probably end up looking far worse for bringing the suit, not to mention all the extra attention it would draw to the porno or whatever.

But clearly it hasnt drawn much attention because noone knows about it, or who it is even. Also, if you sign a contract, which most sororities make you sign, that says you can not have that tattoo and then it is recrded that you have that said tattoo then obviously you can be sued about it. Whether or not you are in a porn and it is morally incorrect or not. Obvioulsy greek orginizations have this rule, some of the people on this board have mentioned it. I think Tri-Sigma has this rule as well, and if it states it in the contract signed then there is cause for the girl to be sued. I dont know the exact circumstances of the situation I am only coming to the most logical conclusion in my mind for why she would be sued because I dont think te sorority sueing her would just do it of rno reason. That would clearly be a waste of time and money. i just know what is happening, which is that she is being sued. So obviouls someone somewhere has a logical reason for doing so, and I think that everyone is in agreement that it is not for being immoral or trashy in her letters.
