Kizzie, soror, the Hula Hoop, (I think that's how you spell it) showed me NO love! I was tall and skinny growing up (still am *shrug*) so the poor hoop had nothing to rest on. It would just wind its way right on down.

Anybody remember those pogo sticks, without the stick, but instead was a rubber ball, with a plastic platform around it? you had to stand on it and try to bounce on the ball.....no?, ok, maybe it was just me....

What about the teenage mutant ninja turtle figurines? I loved Michael-Angelo....for all you non-turtle fans, here's a refresher, Michael-Angelo was the Num-chuck(sp?) turtle with the Orange Bandana. :P

I watched their movies to death......and loved the daily cartoon show

Big cardboard box--when my older brother and I were 8 & 6 respectivly, we got into this huge box and pretended we were on a roller coaster like the big kids. We would sway from side to side and so forth. Ahhh..childhood

Sorhor Ninjapoodle,

I always won pick up sticks during every birthday party, however, I never played with them.

I must say that I enjoyed the game twister.
I also enjoyed playing games where one didn't need any money or toy such as the following:

Red light, Green light
Mother May I
Red Rover, Red Rover send Serious Right over (

)
I Spy (I'm watching you Sorhor Ninjapoodle)

I also liked to play hopscotch and jacks!

i HATED red rover!

Folks always being way TOO rough. Trying to clothes line people getting "sent over". Kids were hostile back then. tee-hee

Did anyone have this big calculator in the shape of an owl? I can't remember the name, but that was real cool.

I also loved some Connect Four and Battle Ship (E-5? no? well what about C-3...) lol.....

Okay, I had the owl calculator, and I was way too happy about it. I was adding up stuff for weeks

I also had neon socks in green, pink, orange, yellow, blue and green (the green was REAL loud). I guess I wasn't in danger of being hit by a car

Then there were the Relax, Choose Life, and Frankie Goes Hollywood t-shirts.

I recently found out that the person who invented the super soaker is a black man who holds patents to thousands of toys. I guess I have to stock up and support the brothers

we are seeing eye to eye aurora 6 but lets not forget about the cabbage patch and garbage pail kids, kid sister, glowworms, or the light brite ( i never got that though)!!

I didn't have it but I had friends who did. They would let me use it sometimes.

I forgot about the garbage pail kids. I collected a few cabbage patch kids when they first came out.

It's not really a toy, but I used to looooove the "Spirograph" that you could draw different designs. Thought about getting one for myself - uh, I mean my daughter, a couple of Christmases ago.

And y'all are cracking me up about cutting Barbie's hair off and thinking it would grow back! I was just telling my mom that I remember when I was about 6 that I would "smoke" candy cigarettes (do they make them anymore? probably not) and put them out in the ashtray! I would never eat them!
