Wow, I was thinking about going to Essence. I guess I had the crazy fantasy that I would be seeing all the people i miss from New Orleans and haven't seen in a long time, especially my sorors. I'm going to a wedding in Jackson,Mississippi and the groom's mother tried to talk him into postponing it because practically all his family is "displaced by the hurricane" and money is not funny; especially when you're looking at replacing your entire residence. But they decided to keep it in December-they felt it would be like a coming together- but will people be able to come at all and pay a hotel costs, travel, gift, etc. is the concern. I guess that may be why sales aren't good for Bayou Classic too.

I may go, I have been invited to go, but I am also going to CT in July and somewhere in both Aug and Sept....I think this may be the breaking point with my employers....but I will see...
