I'm an official Rent-head. I think I've seen Rent 5 times? I still LOVE it! My mom and I used to be obsessed and listen to the album nonstop. I haven't listened to it in years, but I STILL know every single song! La Vie Boheme is my absolute favorite... with I'll Cover You and One Song Glory close behind. Heck, I love them all! And it didn't hurt that Manley Pope was Roger the first 2 times I saw it- YUM!

I saw The Lion King in LA my freshman year and I loved it! The little kid who played Simba had this annoying half-Southern half-Brooklyn accent that sounded totally fake and got to be really irritating whenever he sang. But the rest... WOW!

I saw Mamma Mia last winter. It was AMAZING! I wasn't expecting too much from it, but I absolutely adored it! It was totally original and the cast was amazing and it was just brilliant. It was sweet and sad and hilarious and just all around phenomenal. I LOVED it! I would love to see it again, too. And I'm a sucker for cheesy ABBA music, so that was also a bonus!

I saw two pretty awful musicals while I was in London a few years ago. It was pretty much torture for me and my little brother. Saturday Night Fever was nothing spectacular and Starlight Express completely bored me. I hated the whole rollerskating aspect, too. Just not my cup of tea.

Oh! and Cats! I saw Cats like 5 times when I was younger and I absolutely ADORED it! I haven't seen it since I was a child and everyone I know who saw it when they were adults hated it. I think its just one of those special childhood things to me.

The sun will come out tomorrow..

Annie! I love that musical. When I was little I was in Talent Shows singing "The Sun Will Come out tomorrow" and I still sing the song today!

Miss Saigon by a landslide... I haven't cried that hard at the theater in years.

I love Rodgers and Hammerstein’s The Sound of Music and Cinderella with Lesley Ann Warren. I have sheet music, albums, and videos of both. I have The Sound of Music album since I was 8 years old.

I need to add "AIDA" to my list. I was so deeply moved by the way the show ended, and the music is just breathtaking. I cried at the end.

Also, "La Boheme" (yes, Puccini's opera) that Baz Luhrman has revived on broadway right now. I was in tears for almost the entire 4th act. Even today, listening to the finale, "Ay Dio Mimi!" (particularly the last 90 seconds) gives me chills and goosebumps like crazy. The fact that this music is so old and still so beautiful is incredible.

I'd like to note that I saw both of these shows in the same day...(Boheme @ matinee and Aida @ night) ... it was a particularly emotional day for me on broadway lol!

The next day I saw the happiest musical ever..."Thoroughly Modern Millie!" (a very good musical as well. Sutton Foster ROCKS)

I agree; "Thoroughly Modern Millie" was awesome! I went with a bunch of friends, most of whom love musicals and one who doesn't really like them, but he even liked it (even though he keeps calling it "Milli Vanilli," LOL).

Ahhhhh I forgot Rocky Horror Picture Show!!!!!!!!! Bad Meghan, Bad! That was a staple on Friday nights at midnight at the local artsy theater back in high school. Now I only really watch it on Halloween or if it's ever on VH1 Movies that Rock.
