one rule
whenever i'm out drinking i always get whoever i'm with to do a silver bullet with me....1/2 zambuca, 1/2 tequila....rough at first, but afterwards everyone is asking me what it's about...
Not a common shot, bartenders always ask me what's in it when i order the $%#@...
p.s. always put zamb before tequila, otherwise the tequila is the aftertaste and harder to stomach.
as for beer...i'm pretty open, i love keiths but hard to find in the states so i'll go for pretty much anything...

Anyone ever tried Aftershock? I had a little at my friends house once, it's okay, a little hot... I wouldn't drink it on a regular basis or anything, but the bottle is enough to want to at least try it.

If you haven't tried it with a slice of orange then try it...it's way better (although way girlier).

Since Blue Moon is brewed in Golden, I don't have any problem finding it. But a few of my friends that live in other states have never heard of it. Here it always comes with either a slice of orange or lemon.
We used to drink aftershock in highschool all the time. Until one time I got sick from drinking too much aftershock (and some other stuff). I refuse to drink aftershock or anything cinnamon tasting to this day.

I used to drink Avalanche in college, same thing just peppermint. I don't think they make it anymore. You're right the bottle is well worth it. The sugar crystals in the bottom are the best part I tried the Aftershock a couple of times, but just too hot for me...

The older ladies in the office just left for a liquid lunch...damn them.
Anyway:
Hard Stuff: Cosmos, Sex on the Beach, Seven and Sevens, Vodka Cranberries, and Peach Schnapps and 7-up
Beer: Miller Lite or Coors Lite-my choices; Natty and Icehouse-when I'm hanging with the boys
When I'm feeling particularly sophisticated I'll drink White Zin

OMG!!!! That is the BEST THING IN THE ENTIRE WORLD!!! I can't believe I forgot to mention it. The first time I had it was at a bar, and they bring it out with this special glass for it and uncork (yes, it has a cork) it and make a big production out of pouring it into the glass. It tastes like liquid raspberries, not like beer at all. OMG, it is SO yummy.
They sell it at Whole Foods here, and it's cheaper. There are other flavors as well -- strawberry and peach at least -- but I love raspberries more than anything. I'm gonna have to get me some of that tonight!

Hey Angelic, you must go to Mines right? I didn't know Coors owned Blue Moon! Everything ends up being bought out by the big guys eventually doesn't it.
My favorite beers are all of the Colorado microbrews:
New Belgium: Fat Tire and Sunshine Wheat (though I guess Budweiser owns them now)
O'Dells: 90 Shilling and Easy Street Wheat (with a lemon)
Tommynocker: Maple Nut and TundraBerry (I think they have a couple of breweries[?] but one of them is in Idaho Springs)
Mixed drinks: Stoli vanilla and Coke, Stoli stawberry and lemonade(with a dash of triple sec)
Some of you guys had really good ideas for Stoli mixers... gonna have to try some of those.
Wine: My boyfriend has me drinking Bully Hill from upstate New York, really sweet wine. Otherwise, I like a nice Shirah.

I'm a shooter type girl. It makes you feel good faster without the yucky taste of a shot.
My fav shooters:
- Lemon Drops
- Kamikaze
- Buttery Guns
- Apple Pie
- Car Bombs (although it's not really a shooter.....)

Beer:
If I'm watching a basketball/football game it has to be Coors Light
If I'm chillin' at the beach, it is either Corona or Red Stripe
Mixed Drinks:
Long Beach Iced Tea
High Ball (7&7)
Gin and Tonic
Adios
Wine:
Gerwittzaminer (sp?)
Green Hungarian
Shots:
Baby Ruth (special SK family drink)
Tequila
Purple Hooter
Shoot the Root
Stuff That I'll Never Touch with a 10 Foot Pole again:
Champagne (Goes in like perfume, comes out like sewage)
Aftershock (I tried to out drink my roommate Justin on this stuff, too bad he's like 6'5" and almost 300 lbs.)
Oatmeal Cookie (These have landed me in the emergency room with a dislocated shoulder)
any drink with the word "Sour" in it

Actually I graduated from Mines in May. I never knew that Coors made Blue Moon until I took the tour at the brewery and had some in the tasting area. Actually I have never taken the full tour of the brewery here. All the students from Mines take the "short tour" after classes, which is basically skipping the tour and drinking beer in the tasting area for free. Actually at Mines we call the short tour - Coors Lab. Ha Ha... One of those jokes only an engineering school would think was funny...

Budweiser does not own New Belgium... they are still independent, just rapidly growing.
