hopefulgreek,
Your recruitment is going really well! So glad you had good times at KKG and AXO. Again I'm a total AXO supporter because of my aunt, so I'm a bit biased there
Keep up your spirits, you are doing great! And keep posting...we love it all!

Talking Thursday! I'm done for the day!

Wow- today was awesome... especially because I made it on time and didn't get cut from all of recruitment! guys, I had to book it! I ran seriously no shoes on all the way to sorority row (i'm next to the purple p.) woah.... not good- I woke up at 830- I was supposed to be at SK at 8am!
made it with 10 minutes to spare and I'm not a runner!
I hope I get asked back to all of them! So then I can have the max of 6 for the next round

SK- once again, good, (much bad tent talk! GRR...whatever)

ADPi- Love the girls I met, really met about three and clicked, didn't touch the craft but the girls didn't seem to mind
i hope i get asked back! (i just got a rec turned in for them) i think i said see you later (WHOOPS) i just it's such a habit... hope they didnt think i was cocky (im really scared to death they''ll cut me)

PhiMu- sooo serious, my talk went ok, but I'm sorta a loud kinda girl! seemed obsessive about talking about community service (which i have done lots of )... but the boo--boo bunnies were soo cute!

ChiO- love once again, one came off as kinda welll spacey but I knew a lot about broadway shows (so i'll excuse it)...way for my girl amy who's a Chi O to almost be the one I talked to! nice zebra shoes girl! (she's obsessed) one girl asked me if i was bad and sent away to boarding school (didn't let it anger me) I told a funny stories about prom (a girl burned her dress) and yada yada
did my little star which i think they thought was pretty cute (sometimes I dabble in crafts).. it came up a lil bit that my mom was a ChiO and in Eta Delta (the UF chapter)... but just tried to talk about myself and different activities more than focus on I'm a legacy!

*mk* sorry i left my key to the greek so these are the only notes i have- was in a bit of a hurry (didnt get to wash my hair!) didnt look perfect today!

Smile hopefulgreek-You are doing so well!

I am so impressed with your attitude and the fun you're having with recruitment!!!
I am not a morning person so I totally relate having to book it over to make it to one of the first parties. Brings back good memories
I am thrilled you liked ADPi. Phi Mu, Sigma K and Chi O sounded wonderful as well, not surprisingly. I'm sure your head is spinning meeting all these fantastic women!
Remember to take some time for yourself, give yourself a facial or go somewhere and read a trashy novel, anything that grounds you. From everything you've written you sound like a optimistic, happy, young woman, give yourself a few minutes each day to connect to this in yourself.

Hope you see all the houses you want to on your invites. I think that you really have a wonderful personality and attitude so I know any chapter would benefit from your contributions.

Keep us updated sweetie, we are totally behind you!
Fraternally,
violets

No, I just know a ChiO legacy at UF has to get asked back to at least round two....
*mk*

LOL...guess who else woke up at 8 this morning!?!?!? And I was on decorations today, so I was supposed to be downstairs at 6:45. Thankfully, my chapter consultant remembered a question she needed to ask me, or my little and I (we're roommates) might have slept through the first party!

Talking HeHe!

Don't use that info SigmaKappa babe on me! The alarm was set to pm instead of am.... but I was there party one with ya- we might have been a bit frazled!

*mk* i know tomorrow is sundress day, but I'm still debating... I have a quite dressy skirt (really unique?)

or a lilly pulizer dress the pink one with lil yellow bees? and probably cute sanders which are white.... probably with shoot -I'm not quite sure how to accessorize it yet.... also depending on how the hair is feeling- maybe a cute bow or two? white or pink girls?

Nosy question, do all the houses there have someone hold your purse or does it very from house to house?

yeah how does the purse thing work? i'm from the north and we don't do that.... i'm sure this has been mentioned and i just spaced out on it and forgot about it.... but i'm curious

I too am curious about the purse/cell phone thing. When I went through Rush, we weren't allowed to take in anything-purses, umbrellas, jackets- everything was left with our Rho Chis. If we did take something in, it could of been counted as a rush infraction against the house that we were in.

It is interesting to see how other schools look at things.

Also, my vote goes for the bees. A florida girl can never go wrong with a Lilly dress!

When you go into any house here at Florida the actives hold your things for you. Dont ask me why...courtesy thing I guess, but there is not one house that doesnt do it.

Honey, I love Lilly Pulitzer dresses, love, love, love!
Personally I always go pretty modern and simple with accessories when I'm in a Lilly dress, to cut down on the too cute factor. But then again, I'm an old lady and we have to consider stuff like that.

Have a wonderful time tomorrow...we know that you're gonna look great so go in there and shine!!!
