Thank you GMUBunny and honeychile!! I thought I was going nuts earlier when people thought I had no idea what I was talking about... I will have to remember the "obnoxious" thing from now on.
I am glad to see another ZTA on here GMUBunny! Nice to meet you at Zeta Day!

ZTABullwinkle, do you live in va beach? I'll be home in chesapeake over the summer for a little bit and would love to be able to meet some ODU Zetas. Considerig that us locals can't even find a parking spot at our own beach, I need something else to do to pass the time! (I always say, if it's tourist season, why can't we shoot them?)

Come on over GMUBunny! I'll be here. Where else does my broke butt have to go??? Many of us are still going to be here. As for parking, I can let you know where the non-tourists go! Can't wait to see ya! Plus your grandbig will be around!

PS - Why is it the tourists always think that it is okay to walk in front of a moving car at the Oceanfront? Like they have some invisible shield that will protect them or something...

Outerbanks also includes Nags Head, etc that are mainland beaches.

Nags Head is closer to the mainland than most parts of the Outer Banks (about 10 miles as the crow flies, as opposed to say about 20 miles like Ocracoke or 30 miles like Hatteras), but it is definitely on an island. (BTW, just north of Nags Head is Kitty Hawk, where the Wright brothers first flew their plane. Just west of Nags Head is Roanoke Island, site of the first English settlement in the New World. FWIW.)
Take a look at a map of North Carolina, CutiePie2000. The string of barrier islands that form the north-eastern border of NC -- starting with Currituck just south of the Virginia boder and extending to Cape Lookout east of Morehead City -- are the Outer Banks.

HAHAHA yeah I've been tempted to run them over several times. I used to work at Ft. Story where the beach isn't nearly as packed, but I prefer the ocean side to the bay side. Maybe it's just me but it seems a lot less icky on the other end of Atlantic Ave. I'll definitely get some phone numbers before I come down. It'll be nice to have people to hang out with besides my parents (I hated my high school and have no desire whatsoever to track down those people and spend time with them...blah!)

I went to high school up in Northern VA (Herndon, if you know the area!), then while I was at FSU my parents moved down to a farm (63 acres of Central VA's finest hay... and I'm allergic!) near Lynchburg. I spend my summers at a camp near Leesburg, which is up in Northern VA.
So yeah, I'm around, and kinda Virginian-y!

I am at NCSU- pretty close to the border of VA--- I hope VA Tech gets in to the ACC soon because of they have an ALPHA PHI chapter and I would love to arrange something with them for the game
I knew a girl last year who went to JMU. Her roommate went ZTA there and she was telling us about all this stuff they did to her (hazing wise) She ended up pledge ZTA at my school though.
I am sure she made up the stuff or was misinformed.
