I watched it for the first time last night. My thoughts:

The impression that I got was that this whole baby thing isn't going to hit Robert until the baby is born. I was feeling him when he said something to Brandy about the baby coach...."It's all gonna come naturally..etc." Hi Five to 'Bert (what kind of nickname is that?! ) for that comment!

I don't know, I think it was a shotgun wedding. They don't seem to have this newlywed bliss that I see most newlyweds with. Oh well, I don't care, if they're happy, then great.

I can understand why she would break down crying in the hospital. Shoot, the idea of all that stuff attached to me would freak me out too if I were afraid of hospitals like she is!

I CAN say that I am looking forward to the next episode.

I was watching the show and it was nice and all...but in my opinion, there's something a little weird about the whole thing. I started to wonder if this whole "we got married secretly last summer" thing translates to "I got pregnant by mistake so we are just going to say that we had a secret marriage prior to conception." I found it odd that her mom said that she was proud of her for not having an abortion. I mean, if she was already married and became pregnant, then abortion shouldn't have even come up as an issue at all. I don't think that she would consider abortion just because of her career.

So, not that anyone asked, but the bottom line according to me is that Brandy got knocked up and had a shotgun wedding. The timing was bad because her new album was coming out so that had to come up with a story to sugar-coat the whole thing...plain and simple.
I'm LATE again, but oh well. LMAO

Did you see the Oprah clip they inserted where they got her father's response. Mr. Norwood and the hubby were in the audience and he said that when they told him they were married he referred to getting the "shotgun"?

I guess that is where the mother's comment "You may as well get married comes from". Who is to say that they were married on the date that was given? You know how information is fabricated, especially with those PR people. I do not understand if everything was on the up and up where ABORTION would EVER be an issue.

I havent given it much thought, but during her special, she was on tape saying to someone that she was in her ninth month and that was sometime around mothers day or the end of May.

When she found out that she was pregnant and all and everyone was asking her when she was due, she was like July 2002.

So, I am feelin you when you say that she got knocked up and used the marriage thing to "cover it up". JMHO

Did anyone notice how Robert gained weight? From that Oprah clip with Brandy's father until now? You can tell by his face and torso.

She has a mid-wife now. I think next week will be the last installment. Actually, I thought this was only going to be a one show deal, NOT an entire month.

I wonder how her record sales are now?

I really liked Brandy's midwife. She seems to really know her stuff and communicates it well.

WTF is up with Brandy spending $3994.00 in that one store...and walked out with only 1 little shopping bag. Her husband was shaking his head like... It's like that?....or was that just for MTV!!!

Lawdy why did Robert try and play tennis, knowing his azz is ghetto...he was playing doubles and hit his partner in the back of the head. I was LOL.

WHY?

Why did Brandy's husband act uninterested when the Dr. was giving advice???

Why did he ignore her at the time?

Why did he laugh when she got talked about by Drano?

Why did she make up that story about getting married last year, then her mother said she was glad she didn't have an abortion/then she told her husband he should have worn a condom?

LMAO.

I do not know if any of you all caught this but the hubby made a comment on one of the latest episodes saying that 50 years ago coaches, etc. were not needed. I guess that is why he is so uninterested.

Or maybe he is immature like that...

Then, did you hear last night when they were outside after the shoot when Brandy told him, "you should have worn a condom".
(neicy81, I see you've posted that... )

So this wasn't planned?

It's not tripping out, it's HORMONES - everyone is different but I was a nut with my second baby - I would cry in the grocery store, doctors office, anywhere!!

I wanna know why the dr. showed her the high risk area FIRST. What was the point of that? And what was the point of the $3,994.79 (yes, I remember random numbers like that) being shown? Can you say beYOND tacky?

But I LOVED the idea of her pregnant pictures. Next kid I have I will be doing that. I miss my pregnant belly..

I heard that she did date Rev. Dr. Pastor Mason Betha at one time. I also heard that when she visited him once he left her in the projects alone and didn't care if she found her way home. If you look at her video, "Sitting on Top of the World," she looks like she's fulfilling her schoolgirl crush on him by letting him appear in her video. Other than that, I saw Oprah yesterday and I think the verbally abusive relationship that she talked about was the one with Ma$e. He didn't look too happy with his own self-image when he was dealing with Puff the Dragonbreath Mofo, and he took it out on Bran-Bran. JMHO....

Probably not, but what can they do now, she's here. Oh BTW, I have a pic of Sy'rai if anyone wants to see it. PM me with your e-mail addresses and I'll be more than happy to send you the pic.

Brandy spending that much money on jewelry that's not even made of any metal (gold, silver, platinum) is just beyond my comprehension right about now.

Robert trying to play tennis - I LMAO @ that one. That was a pure comedy show right there.

Everyone has their own unique relationships with their mothers. I, personally, see nothing wrong with Brandy hiring a parenting coach for herself and husband. Mothers often have their own "interpretations" on child rearing and sometimes having an unbiased third party can be very beneficial. It's the same as any new parents attending birthing and parenting classes...except Brandy has the $$$ to afford private sessions. What's wrong with that?

Some of our mothers are from that "old school" and have all these old wives tales for parenting and infant care. I'll never forget my mother-in-law told me once that if I wanted to dry up my milk supply, once I was finished completely with the breastfeeding phase, I should start a fire in the fireplace and squeeze the milk from my breast into the fire....... WTF? I'll go with some of the more "modern" techniques...thank you.
LMAO. My grandmother says stuff like that to my female family members.

Well, I'm a mother of TWO and I realize that hormones and things are "flying" when one is pregnant. However, the entire documentary appeared...let's say, "staged". In my opinion, she was being TOO fake. I mean, it was "Baby" this and "Baby" that whenever she referred to her husband. The childish laughing and snickering really got to me. It was kinda uncalled for if you ask me.

Now about her "episode" when visiting the hospital. I could have just SSSLLLAPPPEEEDDD her. I think that Brandy was going through that "drama" just for the camera. If she's sooooo scared, then why in the world would you get pregnant? I'm sure that her doctor informed her of many things, including the risks, long before she visited the hospital. My doctor did and 99.9% of all doctors do the same.

This was the first time that I was able to get a look at her new husband and he just does not seem to be her type. He's CERTAINLY no looker. I don't think that he was that interested in a lot of it because HE also knew that this documentary stuff was a farse. Heck, the whole marriage was like last minute. She HAD to maintain her "goody-two-shoes" reputation. Getting knocked up BEFORE marriage would have messed that up.

I also did not like the way that she talked to her husband and Drano. There was MUCH attitude. She talked to them like they were children.

I don't know. I just think that Brandy did some of her best ACTING during this documentary. It appeared as if she felt that she had something to prove.
