OK, I still can't make either of those times! I will be in class on Thursday and in a cave Saturday.

WAAAAHHHHH!!!!

OK, I didn't want to say anything and screw the plans up, but since someone else spoke up first. . .

Thursday I will be at work
Saturday I will be helping my mom and stepdad move, and I can't guarantee that I can take a break at 12CDT to attend the ceremony (plus the fact that I may not have access to a computer. )

What about having a late evening Sunday ceremony (like 9 or 10 pm). Would that help anyone out?

Ok I am kinda confused. Is this ceremony just for the people that are bigs and the people in charge? Or is it for everyone? Sorry I get confused easily!

Red face WHOA!!!!

I just ran into a BIG problem. . .

MSN Chat said I needed to update my web browser in order to participate in chat. I tried to download Microsoft Explorer update, but it wouldn't let me!!

I am on an iMac running MacOS 9. I have a cable modem and THOUGHT my browser was through Microsoft Explorer, but I guess not.

Someone PLEASE help me and tell me what to do!!!!

Edited to add: OK, went back to the chat page and read again. It said that chat doesn't function with a Macintosh . So now what do I do??? Am I the only one on a Mac?

PsychTau, if you're having problems, so will I. I have a Mac with 9.2, and I run both IE and Netscape. I can get into MSN just fine (for example, the GreekChat list), but I've never tried chatting.

Ok, I know that everyone is working really hard to get this up and going, but maybe if we did one for each time zone, that would make it a lot easier.

And as for the other computer illiterate people (i am including myself! i still can't do a color signature on gc!) I don't think MSN is the best way to go. Esp. bc of the Mac people. Why not do a yahoo or lycos room, something that everyone can get in on.

just my 2 cents.

This is what I was talking about earlier. You can't chat on MSN if you have a Mac.

Stupid Microsoft and their plot to take over the world.

I am on Delphi Forums, and they just changed their structure. The whole shebang use to be free (they had DelphiPlus for people who wanted to pay for more advanced features), but they have changed everything because they weren't getting enough money to support themselves. Now they have the free service and two levels of payment. I think you have to pay to be able to have a private, restricted forum.

From what I understand, most people who were hosting forums have moved their discussions elsewhere because they didn't want to pay. I don't think I would trust them to be secure (private) at this point in the game. Too much recent upheaval in the "force". . .

And BOOOOO to the dang Microsoft People!!!!!! That's why I bought a Mac this time. . .tired of all the windows crap. (Now I get crap because nothing is compatible with me )

yep...me too

I visited the MSN page. I can get to it, but the chat instructions clearly state that the chat feature is not Macintosh compatible.

I'm on a Macintosh. iMacDV SE running on OS 9.

I *might* be able to use my free alumni access at the university library to use a PC computer, but I'm not sure of the hours as graduation is coming up soon.

Honestly, I've never used ICQ, IM or any chat program. Oh wait, the last time I did I believe I was in unix wayyy back in the day. Anyway, I have no idea which chat programs may be Mac compatible. My dad says that he once tried to attend an online conference on an AOL chat room and it crashed his computer (another Mac, but an older model).
