That girl with the pink stank dress was a hot mess. Between the shoes and the dress she was ho-riffic.
DigitalAngel126 did you ever make it on True Life: I'm Adopted?

Well I watched the beginning this morning and it said that Jeremy has a rare form of autism. He said that he was in Special Ed. when he was younger. His mom said that due to his autism he has been "friendless" for his entire life. So maybe, his girlfriend also has a special condition.
The girl with the dress did look a mess.

Jeremy and his girlfriend were clearly "special." I didn't see it from the very beginning, but I kind of gathered that Jeremy was special from the way that he was acting. Lashawna is just as special. I can tell that neither one had ever had a relationship before. Besides that, they were really cute. In love after two dates? That "passionate" kiss at graduation? It was really too much for me. The only thing that I didn't like was how they were a little patronizing to him at times. You know how some people get that special talk when they speak to someone with disabilities. Like when he was looking for Lashawna, they were like, "Look for her, Jeremy." "Try to find her, Jeremy." Jeremy had me CTFU when he said, "I'm trying to. Shut Up." Had I not known he was special, I would have gone off on him.
The girl from Bayonne High that wanted to be a newscaster was a mess. She was an overachiever and she seemed genuinely shocked when people booed her. I am sure that she had to have some idea that she wasn't very liked. People don't just boo you out of the blue. She did look a little bit on the disgusting side. She had me cracking up when she was sayng that she was going to be the bet so that she could rub it in everyone's face. I felt her frustration, but she was sounding like that girl that nobody likes whether they make it or not.
Angela's pink dress was scandalous! It was kind of thrown together. I don't think that he did a great job with it. I mean, the top was cool, but that high slanted bottom was through. I have to admit that she had me going with that summer school/not gratuating story!!
That b*tch on MADE got on my nerves!! I am glad that she didn't win. She was full of herself. Where is it written that if you speak proper English and isn't "ghetto," that you can't fit it? That had nothing to do with it. Her attitude just SUCKED! Those tired azz braids were making me sick with that nappy hair playing peek-a-boo underneath. She had me SOOOO pissed looking at that episode. I'm getting angry just writing about her, so I'm gonna stop there. I'm sure you all get what I was saying.

I don't know if it was the shoes and the dress that made that girl look a mess. I think the fact that she bent over and touched the floor with her breasts exposed while rubbing her fanny against her boyfriend's privates was the part that I made her look ho-riffic. She actually looked cheap and the fact that her breasts were exposed just kind of added to the whole picture. Why someone would try to look like that on purpose, I will never know.

Please tell me that you could tell that his date/girlfriend was touched as well. Her mother did what she could to make things seem normal, but I had a feeling when the teacher mentioned that the girl might be interested and when the girl said that her mother would have to approved . . . and then when the girl came to the door and said she didn't have any money . . . and didn't mind learning the fox trot . . . she was touched in every sense of the word . . . from the handshakes to the hostile behavior of the girlfriend when other girls were around Jeremy. I think it showed that kids aren't always cruel. It looked to me like there was more than one student that wanted to make sure Jeremy was having a good time or comfortable (at prom and Six Flags in particular). His whistling for her was the same and his yelling her name in the halls of the school trying to make the date.

Well I know.....It was everything, shoes, dress, everythang. Like I said ho-rrific. And her little bend over booty dance was skankerrific.

Like I stated previously, I didn't see the entire show. Maybe I could have made that observation if I watched enough of the show. I knew about Jeremy because I heard the commentary by his mother. By the way, some of us that claim to "think in reality/clear thinkers " could be labeled as special, but that's another story.

I know what you are saying! At first, I wanted to give Jeremy the benefit of the doubt. That's just me. I didn't see any of the commentary, but just little things about him like chasing the girls down to ask to the prom, going to the guidance counselor for help, mom cheuffering (sp?) the dates, people sort of "catering" to him, etc. Still, I doubted it throughout the show. For a while, I took him as being one of those guys that aren't used to dating, being in the loop, etc. You know, Urkel was a genius but he ran after girls and acted "special" too! I know a lot of "normal" people that had better watch their backs when the short yellow bus is ready to take off.
I think that it is great that he was allowed to graduate from high school. I know down here, they give special ed "graduates" a certificate of completion. I doubt if that would enable them to enroll in colleges like Jeremy and Lashawna did. I wonder if they are still together.....

If anyone in this thread says "special" on mo gin, I'ma lose it! lollol!
Yeah He was "gifted" bless his heart.(you know what ya Me-Maw say to someone when they child ugly, bless his heart, lol) He wasn't BAD looking or anything. And yeah homegirl was "gifted" bless her heart and had some of the most jacked up teethfus I've ever seen! Bless her heart though. And yeah the girl who was an overachiever seemed like she was the one that looked down on you if you "weren't on her level" I knew chicks like that in H.S.
As for that skanky pink dress. I don't know WHY her parents let her out the house! Her daddy seemed to be putting his foot down, then he relented! And yes it was poorly put together. Her all on the ground like a skank bless her heart. And she said that folks was "feeling" her dress. I had to laugh cause i was thinking girllllll you know they was talking about you like a dog!(Bless her heart) lol
As for Made, yes I saw miss stank attitude. I kinda think she's like that because of her mom. She's embarrassed of her mom and wants to move away from anything associated with her. But at the same time her whole thing about "Just because I don't talk ghetto, doesn't mean I'm not black" uh.....WHAT?? No wonder she isn't liked. And yes her braids were a HOT MESS bless her heart. I felt sorry for her made coach.
The next Made is about a guy who is a 5th year senior(bless his dumb heart) trying to graducate. I forgot what the next True life is about

I saw that episode and there was no way in h**l she was going to win the position. I felt sorry for her because of her mother. Her mother had some serious drug problems (you could see that drugs really aged her mother) and the daughter's way of dealing with that rejection was being active in school. She would rather be in school than to go home when she was living with her mother. I think her problem was her inability to be flexible. To be a people's person, she should be able to hang with the Black kids, the white kids, the mexicans, etc. She should be able to adapt to whatever the situation is. Her made wish should had been to learn how to be a people person.

Dog lovers
I just got a chance to watch a couple of new episodes of True Life. One of them was True Life: I Want The Perfect Body. This is one guy had his father shave his buns. Another was True Life: I'm A Dog Lover. This episode showed a guy who makes his girlfriend sit in the backseat when the dog is in the car -- this guy lets his dog lick his mouth, but not your average licking of the mouth -- I mean, this man opened his mouth and let this Marmaduke looking dog stick his very long and wet tongue in his mouth and lapped all of the germs up -- the guys mother said that the dog had just licked his tail area. That show is something else.

That was just NAAAAAASTY!!!! His girlfriend was so much better than me because I would have dropped him faster than J-Lo did Puff. She was very pretty and could have done much better than him. He had the nerve to resent her for leaving him. He was acting like she was going on vacation when she was being deported.
It seemed to me that everyone on that show, except for the married couple, had real emotional issues and they were using their dogs to forget about them. The so-called model was giving up on jobs just to cuddle with her pink poodle. I have a feeling that the guy had been left and hurt by someone he really loved before. He kept saying that his dog would never leave him or hurt him and she never neglects him. That's because she's a dog!!!!

The episode was re-aired tonight. Does anyone know what became of the girls? They'd all be done with high school by now since it was filmed in 2000-2001.

I've seen this episode numerous times. I guess I focused more on the cheerleading aspect of the show(being a former cheerleader-all black and predominantly white squad), than the racial aspect. I loved it! IMO, the squad really needed to sit down and have a rap session. Put everything out in the open. I really do believe that this would have done wonders for attitudes, as well as the whole morale of the squad. There was too much seperation on the squad. There was too much blaming, when in the end it really didn't matter, as they were judged as a squad, not as individuals.
Other than that one, my other favorite TrueLifes were: I'm Dead Broke, I'm Jealous, and a toss up btwn I'm Pregnant and I live in the Projects.

I saw the I'm an Urban Cheerleader the other day for the first time since it aired!
That's my favorite episode! I think it did speak on the disparities in programs along the racial lines. Though I didn't like how Brittani (I think it was, the one who didn't get to perform ) the one who threw a fit in front of everyone, I figured she would know how to act...especially when her mom had to yell at her like she was merely 7 years old.
I wish they would do updates on them.
My favorites have been that one, "I'm Stepping", The plastic surgery one, and the breast reduction one with the girl Candi.
