Never one to shy away from a battle (ask Prince Be), KRS has responded with “The Real Hip Hop Is Over Here”, where KRS not only criticizes Nelly’s “N-Sync commercial” style of rap, but also asks for fans to boycott Nelly’s upcoming LP.
Now, let's just be real for a second, ok? WTH is NELLY to try and diss my dude KRS-ONE??? Don't he know?? Knowledge Rules SUPREME Over Nearly Everyone!!!!! Now, there are some people you just don't diss. KRS is one of them. Rakim is another. And although fairly new on the scene, Eminem is yet another (the boy is bad, ok?) Now, when Nelly first came out, I was diggin the one country soundin' rap song. But I ain't know ALL his mess was gon' be like that. Why people dissin' JD?? He ain't a rapper! Is he?

Oooh, Nelly done did it now, really really really did it now, watch out! What was he thinking??? KRS is gonna chew him up and spit him out!
"Coming around the mountain/ you run and hide/
open your defense mechanism/
to divert my heat-seaking lyricism..." - MC's Act Like They Don't Know, KRS-One

For real, wanna-be MC's act like they don't know too, shoot, lol.

JD gets a B-Side diss because he had the nerve to do an interview saying that he was the best producer out there. Hmmm...I am thinking of about FOUR off top who are better. For starters, Timbaland and Dr. Dre, who is the one dissing. Now JD is trying to come off that, saying that he didn't mean he was the BEST, just saying that he had a lot of megahits, or something equally dumb. He said, "I know producers who are better than me, Teddy Riley and Quincy Jones..."

Now...I am not saying those guys aren't any good (Q especially was the bomb in his day), but let's be honest here. Timbaland and Dre are RUNNING it today, and if you ask people I bet VERY few will include Q or T.R. in the same breath as producers like Tim, Dre, the Neptunes, Primo, and Scott Storch.

Most High?

Who sings this song? Is this Ms. Jade? Do yall know what song I'm talkin' about? On one part she says, "Family should be...." Then it goes into the chorus, "Most high, most high, most high, like an angel in the sky..." I really like this song!! Tell me who it is, lol, she will be the next up and coming purchase, after Truth Hurts!

Has anyone bought/heard Raphael Saadiq's Instant Vintage yet? I'm thinking about buying it, but I would love to hear some opinions first.

That album has been on the net for weeks. I have most of it, and it's aight. I liked him MUCH better with Tony Toni TOne

Has anyone picked up the new Donnell Jones yet? Y'all know I love me some Donnell! I downloaded a couple of those tracks, and just might go pick it up...

Thesweetestone, you should be ASHAMED of yourself! Downloading music is WRONG, WRONG, WRONG!! OK, OK! I confess! I do it, too!

Girl, I was watching CNN and they were saying that AudioGalaxy was under fire by record companies because it is WORSE than Napster. They are PO'ed because it lets you download music AND CD cover art. I could care less because all I want is the music. I can admit that my nerves got bad because I thought that they were about to shut the site down. I don't know when the crack down is coming, but I have been downloading songs like CRAZY!! It's better than Napster and I love the site!

I use Kazaa lite. I used to use Morpheus, but came to the conclusion that their software is aboot useless!

Audiogalaxy can be good, but it's a pain in the butt when half the songs are blocked out. P2P sites (like Morpheus, Kazaa, Kazaa lite, etc.) are better for downloading anything.

That is true sometimes you really have to look for the song! Are kazaa and morpheus still free?

I like that song too! She has another song out that they play that's really nice as well.

I heard that she was a local talent here and Wendy Williams liked that song ("Why Don't We Fall in Love") so she started playing it on the 4 play at 4 and the rest is history..........
