Last time I put on foundation, I sat by the window so I could make sure I didn't put on too much to look like I was "made up". The daylight is supposed to give you an idea of what the makeup will really look like once it's on.

@ Confucious
The Oh Baby lipglass and the Chestnut lip liner are the same products that I use. I love how they look together.
btb87,
Next time, I'll definitely apply the foundation by bright lights so I don't waste another $22.

I wear Iman foundation and it blends perfectly with my skin color. I love it. It's kinda hard to find now. It used to be available at JCPenney's, but now you have to search for it. But I believe it's worth it.

Since we are on the topic of makeup.... does anyone have any suggestions for makeup for oily skin?
LOL, I just realized yesterday which parent I inherited my oily skin from. I digress.

Hey, I feel you about the change in skin tone/change of makeup. I hate that and yes I have to purchase two different types of makeup depending on the season.
But I purchased Sephora brand pressed powder and I have to say that it doesn't look bad BUT there super shiny lipgloss is WHACK!! Stick with MAC lipgloss. Also today I purchased Oh baby lipgloss and Chustnut lip liner (I apply lightly).
Also for the season, I switch my cleaner and moisterizer. I switch to good old Noxema and Mary Kay products.

Benefit has THE best gloss. Better than lipglass. It has the high gloss, it's not as gooey, and it smells like strawberries!!
I love MAC!! I made a casual stop by the counter on Sunday to pick up some foundation and left with 3 lipsticks and a lipgloss. They are evil!

I also use oh baby and chestnut from MAC. Once I get a job and get some bills paid off, I am planning on RAIDING the store. I have a very hard time finding a foundation that works with my oily skin.

Nikki1920,
I use cover up on my "problem spots" and pressed powder by MAC or Sephora (depending on if it is winter).
For my skin, I use Seabreeze or Chanel Astringent (sorry my spelling is blaahhh), then I use Neutragena Facial Moisterizer (it is very light, has SPF, and does not clog pores), then I use the cover up, and then the pressed powder.
Abaici,
YES! MAC is evil!! I will have to try Benefit in the future.

Y'all ain't neva, eva lied about MAC being evil, lol. When I go shopping, I have to purposely walk right past the store, or else I end up leaving w/ about $65 worth of makeup--it's sickening .

Oh Baby and Chestnut....perfect together!
I snuck makeup in middle school and used to spend all of my allowance on Wet 'N Wild at Woolworth's!!! I could wear lipstick only to church in 7th grade. I really wasn't bothered with it much in high school. Now, I wear lipgloss every day, and I save full face for singing engagements, special occasions and church.
MAC is a WONDERFUL line! I wear Oh Baby, Nymphette and Explicit in the Lipglass and Ornamental in Lustreglass. I'm a NW50 in Studio Fix, and I'm hopelessly addicted to Chestnut Lip liner! I was also wearing the clear lipglass until my lips developed an allergy to it for some reason. I have discovered the Sephora version and I am loving it!
However....when my pocketbook is not feeling MAC, I wear anything that looks good on me and doesn't break me out. Wet 'N Wild, Maybelline (especially the Wet Shine Diamonds lip glosses), Cover Girl. Sinful Colors is a wonderful MAC knockoff line that is EXTREMELY affordable!
Here is my question for contact lens wearers....what mascara and eye makeup would you recommend?

BEST FOUNDATION EVER: Trish McEvoy!!!
I love it. It goes on very light, blends on contact, not at all cakey and is even I believe, water based!
Its a tad expensive, but I use so little for an application due to its translucent properties the bottle last forever and a day!
I love it, I love it, I love it!

To anyone who has a problem finding foundation to match their skin:
Covergirl's TruBlend is a godsend for me. I always had to buy department store makeup and MAC, which was pricey for my college budget but I tried Covergirl a couple of weeks ago and love it! It's supposed to match 97% of skin tones so it blends really well.

As a contact lense wearer, I think I've tried everything under the sun. However, I have to say that Lancome's mascara (Amplicils or the Definicils) and their waterproof eyeliner(Le Stylo) are the best. I have never had eye irriation with either, such as the mascara bits flaking into my eyes and on my contacts.
The WORST mascara I have tried was Christian Dior's Diorshow and Wet-n-Wild. They both burned my eyes and little bits of the mascara would always flake into my contacts.

Contact suggestions
^^
Thanks for those suggestions. I'm a 20-year contact lens wearer. Right now, I'm doing OK w/Mary Kay Signature, but I tend to replace mascara a lot because of germ issues.

Thanks for the suggestions! However, Dior is a tad pricey right now...lol Any over-the-counter suggestions?
