HC I'm sorry I'm a day late.
HC I hope your birthday was fabulous.
HC, Sorors, I went to our undergraduate chapter's Rush last night.
HC, undergrad SF's, please remember that jeans, combat boots, inch-long airbrushed acrylic nails, and jacked up braids are NOT appropriate attire for Rush! 
HC if you're going to submit, please submit ALL of the required materials. 
HC don't leave out your official transcript and then wonder why you've been rejected. 
HC I'm SOOOOO glad today is a holiday.
HC I'm going to enjoy spending some leisure time with my husband and kids.

My friend
How come I'm getting ready to attend my class-mates funeral
How come he's only 28
How come he was/is the nicest guy
How come I don't do well at funerals
How come I just saw him at our 10 year reunion last summer
How come all the female class-mates didn't remember him looking so buff in high school 
How come I saw him a couple of weeks ago at the mall
How come I waved, yelled hello, and rushed right by and didn't stop to chit chat
How come a shirt I wanted was more important then spending a few minutes with a buddy from high school

I've noticed that some of the students who are "interested" in joining are speaking to me?
I have been lmao?
this has reminded me of my old college days?
back then, when it was time for rush, folks would pop out of the woodwork only to speak?

i have to get these off my chest
HC my stomach is hurting so badly?
HC i deserve this because i ate some bad fish on saturday?
HC i had food poisoning on sunday and had to call out sick from work?
HC its tuesday and i still feel sick?
HC i still got to work because a girl has to get paid?
HC all i've been drinking is tea and eating oranges?
HC is that the new remedy for food poisoning?
HC i talked to my ex today to see how he was doing?
HC he tried to tell me how lonely and depressed and alone he was and proceeded to make me feel really bad about his situation?
HC then he told me he had found the woman he wanted to marry and then continued to say she was "the most beautiful, intelligent, talented, beautiful (yes again), sophisticated, understanding, caring" woman he had ever met?
HC i felt some sort of way about that but then was like "you know what? then why are you alone then?"
HC i think he was trying to hurt my feelings?
HC girls thank God i have become a stronger black woman and was able to rise above that crap?
HC i am just thankful?

HC my boss is on vacation this week

HC all I do is chill on GC
HC oh well, better than having no internet connection!
HC I spend a lot of time looking for jobs and summer internships
HC I decided to go back to school for one post-grad semester in the fall
HC I am going to take hella writing classes
HC all of the good media internships in New Haven want to be for school credit
HC Yale being Yale they don't ACCEPT credit from anywhere other than Yale or a Yale sponsored program
HC even for summer programs at Universities, they'll take the credit but the grade won't count
HC hubris?
HC I am willing to work for free if it's something I want to do
HC I can't do anything about the credit though
HC that makes me
