We are just getting out after being snowed in for four days. This has been a weird weather year no matter where you live. Is it Spring yet?

If I have to deal with one more cancelled flight I'm going to scream! This is hands down the worst winter I've had to deal with in 20 years of being a travel agent. And I am OVER IT.

I'm not about this possible 5-8 inches life anymore. From being born in Boston and experiencing all their snow storms to PA and their snow storms and now VA and them not being able to deal with snow storms im just DONE.

No snow today, but it is -5 out there. The brutal cold this winter is wearing on me. Really, really wearing on me. I kept wanting to go spend some of the gift cards I got for Christmas but have been avoiding it because it is bitter cold or snowing. I finally ordered crap online. Now I'm wondering if it will freeze when they deliver it. (Ordered bath and body works stuff online).

I placed a Bath and Body Works order when they had their big New Year sale, and nothing froze.

Our neighbors sent us a Harry and David tower of treats, in thanks for my husband plowing the end of their drive, along with ours, after the plow comes through. It sat on the doorstep and all the pears and apples froze. But the "bad for us" treats were good!

My daughter's break is next week, and the choir is (hopefully) flying out of Dulles early Saturday morning to go on a concert tour of Texas. She's hoping for a snow day tomorrow to get two "take home" on-line tests done before they leave.

The foam soap stuff looked a little slushy but wasn't frozen. The pocketbacs were fine. The candles were very cold and I resisted the urge to light them because I figured the glass could break going from cold to hot too fast.

We've been snowed in for 4 days. I think that the kids have missed 9 days of school since Christmas. This isn't any fake snowing in; there's been serious ice on the roads. A week from today, though, it's supposed to be 69 degrees!

On a more positive note, it is going to break the freezing point in KC today! Woo hoo! We may actually get to see our curbs again. I think it will still be a couple days before we actually see patches of open ground, but there's good news and sunshine on the horizon! But man oh man, watch out for those icicles.

Yes.

I have everything I need at home. So I won't complain unless I can't go out and have fun Friday-Sunday or if this storm impacts next week's events.

This week watching CNN's stories on Snowden makes me think of this thread and vice versa.
