Regarding the skits, keep this in mind: remember the last time you made a girl do a skit for you in order to determine if you would be friends or not? ... riiiight. That doesn't happen in real life. Don't put too much importance on the meaning or significance of the skit.

Okay I feel really stupid right now. I totally thought when everyone was like "Rebels" that this was a UNLV thread. Only when ladybug12 said "ADPi is going to do very well" did I go "huh" and then realized that this was Ole Miss, not UNLV.

Call it a total blonde moment.

To the OP: I am glad that recruitment is going so well for you. Sending good thoughts your way.

QFT, and quoted because it made me laugh out loud. "Sit on the floor in front of me and ask me about my major and periodically burst into song, and I will decide if I will return to watch your skit. If the skit and your matching outfits impress me, we can be Best Friends Forever"

Recruitment works, but it is indeed a strange and curious ride.

I agree...I've always wondered where skits came from because I'm pretty sure none of our founders did this to recruit new members?

This just made me laugh by bringing up memories of the skits at Alabama in the late 80's....all kind of random & silly. One house brought us in the door, sat us down, & immediately broke into song on ice water teas day! They must have been so excited for their skit they decided to get a jump start but I think all the pnm's (rushes back in the day) appreciated a chance to sit & relax Rebelpnm...have a great night!! Your story has been a delight & I'm sure you will be so happy to celebrate soon

So I returned to Orange, Grape, and Apple. I was a little bummed that Lime cut me but my situation could have been much worse and I was beyond thrilled to get to go back to orange.

Orange: This house I have felt so comfortable at every time I went. I am honestly in love with it. The girls are all so genuine and kind and it was nice to know that they wanted me there and were happy I had decided to come back. I told them I would love to return on bid day and that every time I went there I felt so comfortable and just at home and at peace. I listed them first!!!

Grape: Honestly, I was expecting to be cut from them. I could not tell you why they keep inviting me back. I know it’s not just because I am a legacy. But my conversations there every single time I went were the stereotypical what’s your major? where are you from? how do you like Ole Miss? I decided to rank them second because I realized I would have been putting them first for other people like my mom and friends and not for myself. I would still be happy to end up there I just feel more at home at Orange.

Apple: I was not a fan of this house at skit so I was a little trepid to see them for pref. Their speeches were good but a little bit too much for me. I also was basically asked if I was going to come back tomorrow and that made me feel uncomfortable. I could be happy here I am sure, I just connect better with my other two houses.

So again I listed:
1. Orange
2. Grape
3. Apple

Best wishes to you! Orange sounds wonderful, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed! Joining your legacy chapter would also be neat. I'm glad I'm not in your mom's shoes right now!
