FWIW I used the armrest but I don't put my whole arm on it. I'll push my elbow into the seat leaving the whole front half of the arm rest open in case my neighbor wants to prop up his elbow. iShare.
That article was hilarious, preciousjeni, but the one about getting to the mother before she died was heartbreaking. That was difficult to read but it made a very important point, too. I've honestly never sat next to a larger person on a plane (besides a relative). I don't think I would complain about someone just because of their size--I'm much more likely to ask to move if they are rude, smelly, etc. I have a pretty small personal bubble so I don't think size alone would do it unless they were practically in my lap.
