Lavender is edible and quite tasty, love it in short bread and earl grey tea. You could have a dessert pizza with berries for your maroon.

You could also have eel and pigeon instead of snake and dove...

I can't eat flowers. I don't 'get' that.

And it wouldn't be colored right! (Eel's delicious, nom nom nom, but I'd eat snake, or dove, or pigeon or whatever too. Just not on PIZZA!)

I would feel kinda sacrilege eating a dove...

Hee. I have a "I would eat almost anything, at least once" policy.

I've found a website that lists fruits and vegetables by color. It is actually a cool website that makes eating healthy fun and...colorful.

They also have a list of blue, purple, and indigo fruits and vegetables. Nothing lavender.

We could always improvise. Not a lot of foods are maroon, either.

We shall just have to eat cake.

Decorated with lavender and maroon icing

We have red, buff and green food at our statewide founder's day (International Reunion Day in AGD speak) every year. We have it at Convention too. This year at IRD, I said "I'm always thankful at these things that we are not Tri Sigmas, Sigma Kappas or even Alpha Xi Deltas" Red, buff and green food is easy peasy!

I could see a lot of groups having this problem- where does one find silver or bronze food? Of course, in thinking about this, I'm like 'GammaPhi could totally have hamburgers!' lol
