No I don't normally go there

But ONTD_Football (yes I'm an addict, no i won't apologize, and it's an LJ community if you're not familiar) has been posting sexy soccer guy pics as well as the "gayest" goal celebrations. Many many male kisses, rollings around on the field, and enthusiastic huggings to be found.

Never watched golf have you?

(And yes, that comment's coming from an American Scot.)

One day of cricket made my eyes bleed. I can't imagine watching a 5 day long game.

Several years ago, my parents' plane was delayed for some reason or the other, so my dad (an avid golfer) got my mother situated, then made sure that their luggage was being transferred properly. A gentleman sat down next to my mother, and in a very proper manner, said that he was on his way to St. Andrew's, and would she like to join him. She told him that she was married, but in any case, she was happily married.

When my dad returned, she told him what happened, and he was so excited! "Why didn't you take him up on it?" he asked. My shocked mother said, "And how would I explain you?" My dad responded, "That you have the world's oldest caddy!"

It was a family joke for years!

The reaction to them amuses me. We had very similar horns when I was a kid -- we'd blow them at high school football games. My brother actually gave me one for Christmas when I was about 5. Maybe that's why they don't bother me at all.

I think it was one of my grandfather's biggest disappointments that none of his grandsons cared for golf. Fortunately for him, my sister married a golfer.

Awfull, very awfull. I saw the South Africa vs England match. Supposed to be the elite team and it was boring as hell. Funner to watch paint dry.

Brazil did not look good last night.

I heard ESPN had a lot of complaints about the horns and they were asked to see if the volume can be turn down. so far, it sounded a little better.

I think it's more about the crowd, they'll be loud for South Africa's next game, but when there are more fans from each country who tend to do the more common cheers and singing it quiets down.

Also at some point lungs have GOT to give out.

I admit golf is boring and I only watch it during a couple of the major tournaments but you have to admit 0-0, 1-1, 1-0 soccer matches suck. Nothing, and I mean nothing, happens. At least in golf the player will get into trouble and have to make a great shot to stay in it.

Cricket is bad and baseball on TV sucks bigtime. Totally unwatchable. Baseball in person is fun at the lower levels where kids play and in the minor leagues.

Soccer vs. Bowling or Billiards now that would be a tough one to decide which to watch. I'd rather go to the dentist.

Don't forget curling.

Got to disagree about soccer though. Plenty happens -- it's just that most of it isn't scoring. (Not unlike hockey.)

Minor league baseball is my favorite sport to watch in person. By far. On TV, though, you're right. Totally unwatchable.

I don't know. I kind of enjoyed watching curling during the Winter Games. I thought it is funny as hell to watch.

I used to think curling was boring, but once I actually tried it, it definitely got a lot more interesting to watch. There's so much strategy to watch.
