Eek! And I thought I was the last living B5 fan left in the entire known universe!!
Well, my man and I didn't meet over B5, but we might as well have...he and I had many friends in common starting from the moment we started college. We were even shared a major. It wasn't until after he switched his major and we became involved in completely different things that we were thrown together first as friends, then as more.
Makes perfect sense, doesn't it.

I'm still waiting for it to happen, but when it does, you'll all be the first to know

Very unique meeting
Eric, my TKE and I met online at first. We chatted on AOL in the college chat rooms. We went to the same college, KU. I was in grad school and he was a French major. We just got to know each other....never mentioned meeting.
One Sunday afternoon I got a phone call letting me know one of my students I advised had been struck by another car head on and died. I was alone and pretty sad about it and got online to tell my friends. Eric was on and consoled me. He said he actually knew who the girl was and had met her once at a party at his fraternity house. So, I was helping others have a memorial for her on campus in the next few days and told him to come.
He did....he was in the back watching me the whole time. He came up to me afterward and said hi. Oh god how adorable he was! He asked me out for coffee...I couldn't because I was going with the girls to just be together, after the rough day. He was cool about it and just metioned a concert on Saturday....my god...I was busy again! I felt horrible. So, I called him and asked him out for that weekend a different night. He was a little shocked (thought I was really turning him down), and we've been together ever since that first date.

I must have missed this thread the first time around!
I met Art at my second sorority rush event. We were cosmic bowling and I really didn't know very many people there (it was an all-greek event and I had just met my sisters the day before!) Well, Art (who was in a Kappa Sigma colony) and I were on the same team.
He wasn't the best bowler...but lucky for him I was (I was in a youth league for 15 years!). So....I taught him a few moves, he got my number and the rest is history!
I should mention that he almost gave up on me though!!!! He called me the next day and tried to set up a date for that week....unfortunately I was very busy with rush events, cheerleading (I coached my old high school AND was on the university squad) and my bowling league! He told me later on that if I wasn't free on that Friday, he was gonna give up cause he thought I was just trying to blow him off (but I was REALLY busy! )
Our first date ended up being that Friday on a pub crawl for one of my high school friend's 19th birthdays!!!! We dated for almost 4 years, got married on October 20, 2001 and are still so much in love....I guess we're still in the honeymoon phase even though we were married 4 months ago!!!

well I met my ex-girlfriend, through my best friend. He was the reporter for the university paper and covered the girls soccer team. He introduced us, and we just hit things off. We had some prob. and stopped dating then worked those out, then dated for like 1.5 months then stopped dating, and now I realize how much I miss her so hopefully she'll take me back!!!

I met my guy on the third day of freshman year of college. He was in my peer advisor group and a seminar with me. We immediately hit it off as best friends, always sat together in seminar, wrote notes back and forth every day, went out as friends, whether to bars or fraternity parties, a lot during the fall.
I dated some guy who lasted about a month before turning into a freak, and when my boy was so supportive of me throughout the whole thing, I began to see him as something else. One night about a week before we went home for winter break, we wound up kissing each other - and we kissed again the night after - and he brought me a single rose the day after that.
We spent our three-week break running up our cell phone bills because we talked to each other every day or every other day... we hung out together as soon as we had unpacked from break... and have been together ever since (almost two months)... it's so weird though, he still feels like my best friend... who I happen to hook up with. He's my best friend first, everything else later.

not so mushy
our parents sort of hooked us up without knowing it. when i started college in dc, he was a junior at georgetown. our parents wanted us to get to know each other so that i wouldnt feel alone in a new city. they took us out to dinner and we sort of flirted but we both were in relationships... the next year and two breakups later, we started dating and then called it quits.
a year later i got mugged and he called to see how i was doing. well the rest is history... he's been by my side watching my every step ever since....

What a great topic!
I met my boyfriend of 1.5 years in highschool... we met during Junior Year due to the random seating chart our Honors History teacher made. I didn't even know him even though we had gone to school together since 7th grade! The first conversation we ever even had consisted of me attempting to convince him to take my best friend to Homecoming.
We're going to different colleges, so it's going to be hard keeping a relationship, but we're going to definitely try!
XOXO,
Annie.

Ok, bear with me , I have a really long story....
The first time my boyfriend and was in October 96. I was still a DPhiE new member: we met at a Sigma Chi-DPhiE Halloween exchange. The minute I saw Colin I had the biggest crush on him. According to him, after 6 months of dating as we recalled the 1st time meeting, we carved a pumpkin together - eventhough I have no recollection of that.
Fast foward to Dec 97: my sorority at this time was becoming quite close to the Sigs and we were spending lots of time over there - Colin and I were introduced to each - again. I got semi-ticked with him, because I wanted to take my friend to DPhiE's annual christmas dinner: I had to go stag because my friend was a pledge at the time and his magister - my future boyfriend - wouldn't let him miss his pledge meeting.
March 98: all UBC Greeks migrated to one of the bars near campus to celebrate the end of another school year. I spend the evening hanging out with my sisters and a group of my friends from Sigma Chi. I am one of the last girls to leave and am dancing with a group of Sigs that includes Colin. He asks me dance because he thinks I'm a good dancer (after a year or so of dating he confesses he asked me to dance because he like my butt ...). At that point in the night I'm starting feel like I have a cold coming on, but stick around because Colin requested a song for us to dance to. While waiting for the song I'm feeling sicker and sicker - I tell Colin I don't feel well and that better go home - he takes as "I'm not interested in him". I go to school thursday, but friday stay home, because my cold has really hit me. However that friday night the Sigs are holding their annual ascension party and I tell my mum I have to go - the 1st time in my life I had a curfew. I go to the party completely drugged up on cough and cold medecine. I'm meeting sisters at the house and feel a little nervous about going there by myself, but guess who's at the door when I get there - Colin. I end up leaving the party earlier than my curfew because my cold was making me feel really groggy.
April 98 - Arts County Fair: me and some of my sisters go to the Sig house for their annual "Buffy's Breakfast" on the last day of classes. I don't talk to Colin that much and by the end of the day when I see at the actual fair, he's with some other girl - I'm feeling really bummed. After that exams started and summer rolled around and I started dating I guy I knew who went to uni backeast but was from vancouver.
July 98 - a group of DPhiEs go out clubbing one night, a bunch of Sigs are there including Colin. We end up talking for 3 hours. He invites to a fundrasing party he's hosting that saturday for rush. I go - we finally end up having are dance that we were supposed to have back in march. After the party we have ticket money to drop of at the Sig house, someone volunteers me, saying that I'm the recruitment chair, I should deal with their rush chair - I have no problem with this. My bestfriend (who is not in a sorority) helps me devise a plan . We decide to invite all the Sigs in the house over to my house for a swim (I only live 5 mins from UBC and had been 30+ degree weather that whole week and the nights were unbearable). Get to the house, Colin is outside playing BBall with someone else - I give the money and ask he and some the guys wanted to come to my house for a swim. He enthusiastically accepts my offer and goes off to get changed and find some people. No one else wants to come, so the 3 of us go to pick up my friend's boyfriend and go back to my house. When everyone's ready to leave my best friend suggest I drop here and her boyfriend off 1st as the want to go get something to eat and places will be closing soon. So I drop them home and take Colin back out to UBC - he invites me in to play a game of pool. I pretend I have no idea how to play . After that he walks me out to my car and asks if I like to go out with him sometime, of course I say yes. We decide to get together that weekend and then he french kisses my good night.
2 days later he calls - whilst playing pool we were talking about the fireworks - an annual Vancouver event - he told me that the week before he had gone out on his dad's boat to watch them. I told him how much I love being on the water and thing I always wanted to do was see the fireworks from a boat - he remembers this conversation and for our 1st date we watch the fireworks from the middle of English Bay, on his dad's boat.

That's so cute! My boyfriend of 2 yrs. & I met during marching band in high school.
Best of luck with your relationship! I am just getting used to that long-distance-relationship-thing too... my boyfriend and I used to attend the same college.. then he graduated this past summer, and I transferred to another university. He's in another state, but we still talk a lot (thank god for nationwide long distance calling plans!) and are trying to make it work!

Well I am single so I don’t have any decent “wear we met stories” but my parents met at a roller skating rink when my father asked her to skate during a couples only skate.
