Why are questioning PNMs consistently demonized here?

I think that's why I'm confused by this entire thread.

If PNMs ask questions that have been asked before, people will direct them toward the search function, or they’ll actually list threads for them to look over. If the questions start becoming ridiculous, and the PNM doesn’t want to listen/becomes angry or rude, then it is in almost everyone’s nature to be rude back.

Don’t ask for the advice if you can’t handle the truth.

And that is my point. I realize it is human nature to be rude when provoked. I'm asking people to live out their sorority's values and rise above that for the sake of everyone involved.

Despite what some people might think, it DOES reflect poorly on your sorority if you are rude here. There are many non-Greeks who lurk here and they will form opinions about groups based on the women who represent them here. And even if you don't post with your letters, all of the women here represent the Greek system as a whole.

If a PNM annoys you here, just walk away and let someone else answer her. And if no one else answers, she''ll get the message that the conversation is over.

oh yeah, and if you ignore a PNM, they won't "get the message," they'll post every 5 seconds saying "OMG someone answer me, you all are sooo rude" or they'll post another thread on the exact same topic. Trust, it's happened before.

I don't understand this.....we here on GC try our best to help all non-Greeks with our answers...but like many we do get annoyed when they just don't get the point and won't stop. I don't know how many times you can tell someone that you cannot and will not divulge something private like membership selection information....

Also we tell all the young women who post on here to not think or consider stereotypes, but go into recruitment with an open mind...

At this point, people answered your original question and you can't let it go that people are being honest in their responses to you. How much longer do you think this thread can stay open before people get rude to you for asking the same thing over and over again? Your original question has been answered repeatedly by members. Let it go. Get over it.

FYI, the responses so far have not been rude. Keep asking people to play nice or keep telling us that we're reflecting poorly on our organizations and you'll become the next GC case of Internet flounce.
