You ain't right!
How old is this chick?
I am playing devils advocate, here. It could be a possibility that it was not 8 embies that were implanted. It could have been fewer eggs and some divided to become identical twins. As far as the money, she either had money stashed or hella insurance coverage.
Because without coverage, lemme tell you it ain't cheap

Wow @ all of the stuff they're finding out.
I wonder how she could afford to do this. A couple at my church (who both have very professional jobs and no kids) could barely afford to have this done.
Also, is it confirmed wihether there is a dad in the picture? I've heard that she's single, but I have also heard that she has a husband who works out of state most of the time.

They said she worked at a fertility clinic. Maybe they did it for free.

I wonder if she plans to sell any of these kids in a third-world country? Add that she works in a fertility clinic, and she could make a fortune!
Has anyone ever seen the way a woman's skin looks after giving birth to even triplets? It's surely not pretty. TLC had a woman who had given birth to quadruplets, and she had to fold her skin into her pants, just to get dressed.

On Jon and Kate Plus 8, the first two specials featured Kate's jowls of a dog and then the plastic surgeon and his wife who took pity on her.

She IS single. No husband. (As Munchkin said, it's the dad going back to Iraq.) No money. Amazing.
It's her MOM and DAD that filed for bankruptcy! Her mom is SEVENTY! So, it will be breeder and her 70-year old mom taking care of 14 kids. Peeps, state daycare laws mandate a lower adult-child ratio! Dad won't be there to help -- he'll be working in Iraq making $100,000 to take care of 17 people. Private contractors don't usually get health insurance. So, you KNOW they'll be on medicaid, welfare, food stamps, etc.
She is a habitual in-vitro offender.

I swear it sounds like this woman has Munchasen by-proxy or some form of it. It's like she has to be pregnant to get the "attention" that she so desperately craves.
My question is why the hell did a doctor in-vitro a woman who had 6 kids with no husband and is living with her parents!!!!! Hello! If she is living with her parents it means she can barely afford the 6 kids she's got!!!!!
This might sound hateful and cruel, but it shouldn't be the CA taxpayers job to take care of this woman's 14 kids.
I'll probably get flamed for this, but IMPO CPS should be looking into the situation, but serioulsy how well can a single mother, her 70 mother, living in a 3 bedroom house take care of 14 kids all under the age of 7! Personally I feel that is bordering on child abuse or child neglet and CPS should become involved!

I wonder who will want to make donations? I don't think this case will be good advertising.

the fact that the woman thinks she can breastfeed 8 babies concerns me. i agree with asuadpi that social services should investigate this family, to ensure the welfare of her children.
in addition, i hope that officials are looking into where this woman got fertilized and if the clinic knew that she had 6 children.

The clinic KNEW she had SIX kids. They were the ones who helped her. They embryos all came from one single donation from David Soloman. She didn't want to let the last eight embryos go, so she had them all implanted at once.
It gets BETTER -- one of her sons is autistic. Is she out of her mind?
Now, the mom says she's leaving her to care for all of the babies. CPS SHOULD be looking at this.

The plot thickens, kids...
I wonder if she saw the other HOM families like the Gosselins and McCaugheys and said to herself, "wow! If I have all these kids, then I won't have to worry about paying for anything from their diapers to tuition because we'll have tons of corporate sponsors! Maybe we'll get a TV show!"

Nope, no laws. There are "guidelines," but there's no enforcement.
